Great Adventure will probably get those softer belts for kingda ka over time. Not saying that they will come quickly though. As for the Chocolate World Ride getting upgraded, I think that the ride was great as is and I hope the upgrade adds on to the greatness rather than removing it.

According to what I've heard elsewhere, Intamin stopped offering the old shoulder restraints a couple years ago so as rides need to replace their harnesses they are switching to the soft straps. I don't know if this is correct or not, but if it is I'd expect every Intamin coaster with that harness design to switch to soft straps within the next few years. The soft straps are a much more comfortable design, so this is a change I wouldn't mind one bit.
