Was wondering if anyone has ever been to PKD's fearfest? Whats the haunted mazes like? Are they worth my time? And how are the lines for the coasters this time of year? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

No joke? I've never been to Fearfest, but if Howl-O-Scream in Williamsburg is any indication, it's a nightmare! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Get it!?!?!?

Seriously, do they have fronjt-of-the-line books or anything? If not, what a waste of time. Go up there and stand in line for 2 hours to go through one maze.

Also Are the rides open during the morning and daytime hours as well as the evening hours?

Yes, most of the rides are open for normal operation during the day. The only rides that are closed are ones that have been taken over for Fearfest stuff. For example, I know that last year (maybe every year) the raft ride was closed for a Fearfest maze, but not too many people want to ride the raft ride in the fall anyway.

Some rides, like the Antique Cars, are open for normal operation during the day, then become a Fearfest ride at night.

I went last year, and it was pretty cool to a point. It rained earlier in the day so no one was in the park at like 5, it was walk on for Hypersonic and Volcano. Around 6 they started pumping the fog out, we were just going up on the Drop Zone so it looked really creepy to just see all this fog coming out of the trees. I don't do the haunted houses or mazes but I heard that they really aren't that great. The only good one was the one in the arcade by the Grizzly. They also didn't have the people running around the park scaring you because there weren't enough people. They ended up closing the park at 8 instead of 11. They did give us tickets to come back next weekend. I'm going this year because it is fun and going around the park when it's all foggy is pretty sweet.

Also, Does anyone know how Volcano is running? I went back at the end of August and they were only running one train, just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong. Didnt know if anyone had been recently. thanks

It's fine...I don't know how you managed to go when they were running one train. Bad luck, maybe?

Must have been, b/c they had a sign out before you even get in line that said "We are sorry but this ride is only running 1 train today". So I hit it first thing in the morning and right before the park closed.

Also, sometimes it's good to not listen to those signs. I have been quite a few times when they had that sign up and they were running 2 trains later in the day.

It's pretty much good fun. Yeah you're going to wait longer for the rides but once they start pumping that fog, it makes up for it. I'm going October 14th and possibly the 21st also. Anyone else going?
