Six Flags New England: Great day overall

I have a season pass to six flags great adventure and i needed somewhere to go to use my free friend to any other park so my sister and dad came along with me on the 3 plus hour drive to agawam mass. First off, the park is in a very strange location and the parking is very unconventional its on the other side of a highway from the park and you have to walk for a while. When we first got into the park we went over towards the cyclone. Wow what a strange roller coaster. The cars felt like they were popping off the track, the ride had no real major drop, and it was very jittery but for some reason i really liked this ride. How can you not love intensity.

After Cylcone we went over to mr. penguins blizzard river. This was one of the best themed river raft rides out there. There was so much mist that you couldnt see anything at points. I got drenched.

Next was Flashback cuz pandemonium had a long line. Typical boomerang. Liked its color and small themeing.

Next we stopped for lunch (WAY TOO EXPENSIVE SIX FLAGS) 40 bucks for a slice of pizza, a hot dog, and chicken fingers, nooooooo way

Ok best part of the day we finally found the way to get to superman ride of steel. The entrance and queue line was quite nice except for the fact there was gum with pennies stuck to them all over the wall, gross. But i knew coming in that this was the number one ride in the world. and i have to say after our 30 minute wait that i agree. It even beat millenium force for me and thats a major shocker. The ride just flies over its elements. The ride is so fast passted. The tunnels and mist are great. The drops are steep. Its incredible from start (you get a great view) to finish (that spagheti bowl is quite nice)

Next was mind eraser. Eww b&m inverts are so much better than these pieces of junk. It wasnt the worst one out there but it looks like its falling apart. It hurts your head like mad. ONly rode it once

Next was batman: the dark knight or whatever its name is now because the park cant choose one. The ride is actually very nice. The first drop is nice and steep, the first three inversions are great (love that dive loop in there) The second half of the ride is lacking however and the ride ends too fast. The ride is increadible at night though.

Then we went to hurricane harbor (i love the free waterpark) I was quite impressed with it. Typhoon was the greatest water ride ive ever been on and there were tons of tube slides. Tornado was great too.

We went back to the amusement park and got rides on thunderbolt and pandemonium and spent the rest of the night on re runs.

WE stayed until closing at 9:30 and it was a great day. I really recomend this park especially for superman.

seems like fun. Yeah, I hate Vekoma SLC's, too. I ALSO hate SF PRICES!

Thanks for the trip report. The company I work for has a client based in Hartford, about 25 minutes away from SFNE. I may be going out there next summer to do some training, which means I will have to check out the park. As an official TPI Rep, can I do anything less?

I wonder if I can expense the whole excursion....?
