Marvel Theme Park

Which resort would it go to? Which rides and attractions would be immersed into the Marvel world?

So we all know that Disney has now bought Marvel. But if they were to build a Marvel Theme Park, where would it go? Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Paris Resort, Tokyo Disneyland Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, or Disneyland Shanghai? Or would it just be a themed land. Please tell us what your ideas are!

I think it should just get a land at DHS featuring some of the most popular characters like iron man, spiderman, fantastic 4, the hulk, and captain america

A park would be easy to build and would finally hit that teen demographic Disney seems to me missing with thrill rides.

Just a few Ideas I’ve been throwing around in my head

New York section of the park with Stark Tower, Hell’s Kitchen and Daredevil. NY has a ton of characters that call it home. Spiderman, Fantastic 4, kingpin, and the two above mentioned.

Asgard section: Have the Rainbow bridge take you to a world of Nose mythology with Thor, Odin and Loki

Villains section: Dooms castle could be the Weenie here that draws guest in. Doom, Magneto, Norman Osborn, and many many others. A thought for a ride here would be one similar to the old Kong at universal but with Galactus ravaging the city, the visual would be amazing.

X-men section: Everyone's Favorite mutants would be on showcase here, with the X mansion and Danger room 3D ride.

Those are just a few of my thoughts on it. I'm a huge huge Marvel fan and even though my own love blinds me in some respects I thing most guest would easily enjoy and be immersed in these characters and stories.

I like Tim's and Brian's ideas, and I know from previous discussions, I have argued against this; but this could be Disney World's fifth gate. There are so many great Marvel Characters that haven't had their chance in Hollywood yet. It would definitely be something for us poor parents who have little boys and not little "princesses or tinkerbells".

Even with the DCA makeover, I still think DLR could use another gate... and a thrill-focused Marvel Park could signal the death knell for rivals Knotts Berry Farm and Magic Mountain.

And in my mind, the park would look a lot like a full blown version of IOA's Marvel Super Hero Island, complete with Disney's take on a themed Spider-Man ride and at least three coasters based on the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-men.

Yeah, but I think the Superhero Island should be moved to DHS.

Another quick and easy way to get Marvel at Disney is to redo Ride the Comix at Disneyquest. Just put Marvel Villans!

^^DisneyQuest could certainly use some Imagineering Love!

Just looking at real estate costs and land availability, you have to assume that if a park was built it would happen in Orlando. Unless DL was going to add a park that wasn't in the immediate area of the other two.

WDW has the land and space for this. But is a marvel park going to be confusing when IoA has Marvel Island? What do you call it to differentiate the two?
