Busch Gardens Williamsburg gives the park some TLC in addition to the new attractions.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg: Busch Gardens Williamsburg appears to have given the park some TLC in addition to the signature attractions this year such as Verbolten. Some really nice enhancements are really shining and adding to some veteran attractions.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg is also making some enhancements to the park in addition to their marquee attractions in 2012. I noticed some of their employees using mobile type laptop registers working some of the lines. They also appear to have made the getting into the park more user friendly by assigning zones for different things such as self-service kiosks, and other things. I also noticed that a family restroom has been added in Germany. It also looks like that near Alpengeist, they are putting in some type of waterfall near the wooden swings. Of course the signature attractions of Mach Tower and Verbolten are getting a lot of attention, but the new show, Entwined has really opened up the Festhaus. Some friends of mine also tell me that Escape from Pompeii has gotten some TLC with some of the effects being restored. I also hear that DarKastle has gotten some enhancements as well. They appear to be doing some major type of sundial garden near Pompeii...not sure it fits in, but it looks like it will be spectacular!

Yeah, I read the preshow for DarKastle has been reintroduced and that many of the ride scenes have been spruced up. Both updates are GREAT news. It is not going to be hard to choose between Busch Gardens and Kings Dominion during my annual Virginia trip: BG all the way this year!

BG is the equal of any of the Orlando Parks. It's good news that it is finally receiving some TLC from the new owners.

That's great to know!! We'll be there this weekend with bells on! Can't wait to go to all my old favorites! Now if my son would grow a few inches so he can ride Lochness for the first time!

Isn't that against the rules?

I gotta say that Blackstone has been pretty continual in its efforts to add to the park since its first year of ownership. I think they started off slow so as not to shock fans, but all in all I think they are doing a great job.

My only qualm is with the loss of the Festhaus show which has been running in one way or another since the early years of the park. That show in its many incarnations was just as much of a piece of Busch Gardens History as is The Loch Ness Monster.

^^I'm okay with that, as I'm not a fan of shows in parks. But if they remove the corned beef sandwich from the FestHaus menu, well, simply put, that means war.
