Favorite Rollercoasters to Watch?
What rollercoasters are fun to watch as they are to ride?
I'm not the kind of guy that rides giant rollercoasters, but I am a fan of just watching them in action. My question to you all is "What are your favorite rollercoasters to watch?". For me it's Cheetah Hunt because of how it goes over the landscape and Shiekra due to the water section and watching the vertical drops.
Montu, Sheikra, Cheetah hunt and gwazi are awesome and I also like watching pirate ships and drop towers.
Shiekra is fun to watch, and I agree on the drop towers. Top Thrill Dragster is most fun to watch for me, after all, the park built bleachers for people to watch, and they fill up. I like getting so close to the immleman while watching Montu, and Manta is really fun to watch. Still, because of that launch, Dragster is most fun for me. Oops, didn't mean to do that twice. Sorry!
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster's launch for me. It never gets old. And I get to see it tomorrow!
But Sheikra, Mystery Mine, Incredible Hulk and Dueling Dragons (Dragon Challenge, whatever. I refuse to call it that), are all insanely close.
Oh yes the hulk is a good one too!
Oh and also have fun Bryce
I do agree with you all on the Hulk.
Watch?
And ride them too Mike!
Well, I don't typically watch coasters quite as much as I ride them, but Raging Bull's drop at my local park Six Flags Great America is something I enjoy seeing people's reactions on.
I agree with you James.
All of them, considering I won't ride them (aside from Revenge of the Mummy)
King Da Ka it's fun to watch bc sometimes it doesn't make it all the way up and goes backwards
Hmm...... Hulk and Dueling Dragons. And I'll be checking out Raging Bull in August when I go to GAm

Silver Dollar City, the best theme park west of Orlando and east of Anaheim, has a few great coaster viewing spots:
Wildfire:

Powder Keg:

Train Side view of something new coming in 2013:

When I was at DHS on Tuesday for 11 hours (yes, 11 hours) I spent atleast 30 minutes sitting down on Sunset Boulevard watching Tower of Terror and listening to the screams. (even though it's not a coaster, it's still fun to watch).
Plus I people watched, and that's always fun to do at Disney.
I like to watch Everest at DAK up close, but I like going on the observation tower at Magic Mountain and watching the coasters from up there.
I love hearing people scream on TOT. Even at Darth's Mall you could not only hear the screams, but get a backside view of the building :)
Top Thrill Dragster---It's actually the first coaster, I think, that actually has a grandstand that is specifically designed for guests to sit and watch the ride operate.
I love how you can hear the screams once you enter Sunset Blvd.
It's amazing.
One coaster that USE to be fun to watch was the Loch Ness Monster at Busch Gardens Williamsburg when they use to allow it to double loop. Two trains going through the loops at the same time was quite thrilling from the riverwalk under the loops! Unfortunately they don't allow that to happen any longer.

Launch coasters such as Top Thrill Dragster and KIngda Ka are fun to watch, but I love watching X2 and keeping track of the seats moving during their corse.
One of my favorite rides to watch it Raptor at Cedar Point. I know it's silly, but I love sitting on the pathway to Blue Streak where Raptor goes right over the top and vibrates your butt on the bench. It's silly but fun.
I also enjoy watching most coasters where they cross pathways, I think part of this is because I love watching people be surprised when something roars over there head. That and I just love the sounds, a good woodie roaring past is a favorite sound.
