At what wind speed are IOA/US coasters shut down?

I see this weekend will have 15-20 mph winds in Orlando. Does anyone know at what speeds the coasters in IOA/Universal Studios are shutdown at? Should I risk going this weekend or postpone?

I did a little searching on this.... there are a few posts about rides at various parks being shut down due to winds of 25+ MPH. Mostly wooden coasters that tend to sway more than a steel coaster would due to the huge amount of surface area of all that lumber.

You could call guest services and ask them as well.

I'm not an expert on the subject, but the really tall accelerator/launch rides..Kingda Ka, Top Thrill Dragster..will not run once winds reach a certain speed. Temperatures also affect them.

I can't imagine anything at Universal being affected by the conditions you noted.

On one trip to US last year the RockNRoller coaster was closed. We asked one of the crew and they said it was becuase of wind. They did eventually open it about an hour before closing. I'm always hearing of problems with that coaster i'm not sure if that was just an excuse. No problems with any other rides and wind there though.

Um Shannon, I think you meant to say Rip, Ride, Rockit. Wind and weather aren't going to be much of a problem for RockNRoller Coaster.

If RockNRoller Coaster closes cuz of wind, Orlando has a serious problem! ;-)
