The fact that The Smiler boasts a staggering, record-holding 14 inversions is sufficient reason to ride it. It features some good elements, such as a heartline roll in the dark shortly after the trains are dispatched. I like the fact that the motion of the trains is interrupted by a second, vertical lift hill. The Smiler is beautifully themed and otherwise well executed. And BTW, it's a Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster, not a Euro-Fighter.
