La Vall dei Re is a dark ride in Gardaland. It's worth seeing on a time-permitting basis.
In slow moving carriages, guests enter the Valley of the Kings and follow a team of brave explorers on their quest for...you guessed it, treasure. While the story could have done with a touch more imagination, the actual ride is pulled off very nicely. The emphasis is on scenery and special effects, so expect tricks like strobe lighting, fog, and a surprisingly good soundtrack. It's beginning to show it's age, but Gardaland has never been brilliant as this sort of ride, so it's a pretty valiant effort on their part. The only real disappointment are the people, which are bad robotics. For the family, but one scene may frighten small children.
