IAAPA conference wrap-up

2006-11-20

By Robert Niles: The annual International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Expo is over for another year, and Brenda Goodman offers a conference wrap-up in the New York Times. (Thanks for the link!)

The IAAPA also announced that the 2009 expo is coming to the west coast -- Las Vegas! (The 2007 and 2008 events will happen in Orlando, as previously announced.)

Also, I need someone in the Orlando area to cover a press event on Jan. 24-26. (See previous post for info on covering park events for TPI.) It's actually several events spread over three days. You must be in the Orlando area, and able to drive to the park for the days' events. (FWIW, the park provides travel and hotel for people covering the event, but our site rules prevent readers from accepting freebies from parks while representing TPI.) Contact me privately if you'd like the gig.

May be interested. What's the gig about?
