Theme park T-shirt of the dayBy Robert Niles
A person I follow on Twitter just sent out the message: "'People make plans and God laughs at them.' I bet He is cracking up today."Published: October 6, 2009 at 3:51 PM Seems an appropriate sentiment for a day in which my coverage plan blew up like a Michael Bay movie. Or perhaps I should draw my inspiration from a T-shirt: ![]() Sure, it's from Universal Orlando. But given that that park's half-owner is party to the deal that refuses to happen so I can't cover it, I'm gonna go with it. Sums up my feelings for the day, that's for sure. Anyone else have any favorite theme park T-shirts they'd like to describe?

Spent the whole day waiting to publish the report on the Busch theme park sale... which didn't come through, despite many, many off-the-record reports from within the company that it would on Tuesday. I had at least four interviews lined up... all of which didn't happen. So, in short, I spent the day boldly going nowhere. From Jason Jackson on October 7, 2009 at 5:22 AM

I used to like the ones from universal that said thing 1, thing 2 etc... But they need to retire those for a while, way to many identical things running around, lol. From David Graham on October 7, 2009 at 7:50 AM
Robert, I think I'm going to take half the shirts advise and boldly go to Universal Orlando today lol From Vickie Boyd on October 7, 2009 at 7:57 AM
At least you stirred up a debate with your article. Love the shirt, too. A little Photoshopping and you could have your BEC shirt, but I am not that attuned to PS. From Amanda Jenkins on October 7, 2009 at 9:00 AM
I bought my husband one that he loves to wear under his police uniform. It is a black shirt from Animal Kingdom. In large letters it says, "I'm Surrounded By Idiots". On the back it has a small Scar (bad guy from Lion King). He laughs and says if only the criminals could see what he is wearing... This article has been archived and is no longer accepting comments.
