Getting closer to Diagon Alley opening: Construction update
Over on the Theme Park Insider discussion board, reader NB notes that the Knight Bus is now parked in front of the London facade at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando. And Jaiden Cohen responded with this embed of a video overview of the construction:
Since your fearless editor is in Pasadena, Calif., and not able to get out to Orlando until the expected June opening, I'm relying on our Orlando-area readers (and readers visiting Orlando!) to keep the community up to date with photos, videos, and reports during soft opens.
For either Diagon Alley or the upcoming Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, please email themeparkinsider@gmail.com with your photos and first-person descriptions of these attractions if you happen to be among the lucky first visitors when they soft-open. Your fellow Theme Park Insider readers can't wait to hear and see what you find!

Thanks for posting.....
I am leaving Thursday night for 8 day's in Sunny Orlando....
Bought 3 days of tickets at Universal.....
Getting Hyped.....
I'm leaving in 2 weeks, but I doubt the Dwarf's coaster will soft open in time. Let's hope for the best. At least I got FastPass+ reservations for the Anna and Elsa (Frozen) meet and greet. No waiting 4 hours for this attraction.
Congrats, Anon.
I wonder if you could scalp that FP+ and pay for the rest of your vacation? (And, BTW, I haven't decided yet if that's a joke or a serious suggestion. Which says a lot, doesn't it?)
A huge thanks in advance to everyone thinking about the community when trying to get into these soft opens. We're counting on you for reports! Thanks again.
My family planned a trip in mid-end of July... we especially planned it for the Diagon Alley addition. I really hope its open when we go. Either way, we still love Universal. And I'm keeping my fingers crossed that our Disney trip goes smoothly with the new FP+. There's about 14 of us so staying off-site was more budget-friendly. :)
Any idea why the bus has hooks on its roof?
I am guessing its for lifting/moving it and therefore confirmation that it won't be mobile?
Those hooks are hideous... I hope they remove them.

I'll be at DW and US at the end of May. We are keeping our fingers crossed for soft openings at both.
