To say "thank you" to our loyal Theme Park Insider readers, we're giving away a bunch of stuff today, including T-shirts, books, and theme park promotional swag.
Here's how it will work:
We'll give away items — first-come, first-served — to registered readers who respond to this post. If you want one of the T-shirts, you'll need to specify the gender and size you want in your response. If your size isn't/is no longer available, tell us if you'd like a signed copy of one of our books, Stories from a Theme Park Insider or Theme Park Insider: Orlando 2014. If your size isn't available and you already have both the books, first, bless you. Second, just ask for some of the theme park swag, and we'll send one of those items to you instead, as supplies last.
As for the swag, it ranges from the kinda cool to the pretty lame. (It's all stuff that parks sent us for free along with press releases.) We'll throw in a swag item as a ride-along with the T-shirts or books while they last. We don't have as many promo items as shirts and books, so not everyone will get one. I will select those items randomly until they're gone. (With one exception: One of the promo items is a T-shirt, so it will go to someone who selects the same-sized Them Park Insider shirt.)
You must be a registered member, and signed in to your account when you reply, to be eligible. That's because I will use the site's messaging feature to contact the would-be recipients to get their mailing addresses. (So, please don't include your mailing address in your comment.) Also, please don't include anything in your comment that violates our site rules and would cause me to have to delete your comment, instead of messaging you to arrange delivery. I'm willing to ship anywhere where I can send stuff legally from the United States, so long as the postage charge is under $20. If that's not the case where you live, sorry, you're not eligible for the giveaway today.
We're limiting this to one shirt or book per registered user, so once you've commented, there's no need to comment again. Multiple requests will be ignored. And if you don't request a specific item (T-shirt with size and gender, or book title, or "theme park swag"), we'll have to ignore the request. Feel free to request a book as a back-up, if you're afraid that your sized shirt might be gone by the time I get to your reply.
We have 25 T-shirts to give away. These are nice, 100%-organic-cotton shirts, hand-silkscreened here in California. I've listed the available sizes below:
Women's Extra Large: 2 shirts
Women's Large: 6 shirts
Women's Medium: 3 shirts
Women's Small: 3 shirts
Men's Large: 4 shirts
Men's Medium: 4 shirts
Men's Small: 3 shirts
Again, this is first-come, first-served. Once the stuff we have is gone, it's gone, and we won't be able to respond to additional requests in the responses. But we'll keep going until all the stuff is gone or the thread closes, whichever comes first.
That should do it for the procedures. Again, I'd like to thank all of our wonderful Theme Park Insider readers for your support over the years. It's going to be a great summer at theme parks, and I hope that 25 of you will be wearing your new Theme Park Insider shirts to the parks when you visit!
