Take a look at the latest Disney Springs construction photos from Walt Disney World
Reader Mitchell Botwin just sent along some wonderful aerial photos of the construction on the new "Disney Springs" shopping and dining development at the current Downtown Disney at the Walt Disney World Resort.

That's the new parking facility under construction. Mitchell took these pictures from the Characters in Flight balloon that rises above Downtown Disney, allowing a wide view of what's happening behind the construction walls that line so many of the pathways through the old Pleasure Island section.

If you would like to see higher-resolution versions of these photos, we've just posted them to a board on our Pinterest page.
Thanks to Mitchell for the great photos!

What exactly will be going into the new spaces besides the garage?
So downtown Disney is becoming Citywalk without clubs
Construction is supposed to be finished by 2016. In our original article, we noted that the concept art showed locations that sure looked like an American Girl Place and a World of Coca-Cola, however, neither has been confirmed yet. Scott Joseph, in his linked post, attached some restaurants to the new development, including Morimoto, The Edison, and STK.

When is the whole thing supposed to be done
