Disneyland Announces the Return of the Mad T Party
The Disneyland Resort announced today that the Mad T Party will return to Disney California Adventure on May 22.

The night-time dance party closed late last year to make way for the current Frozen-themed "Freeze the Night" party. While the basic format of the party remains the same — a DJ, a couple of performance stages, specialty cocktails for sale — the Frozen theme simply doesn't have the same appeal to 20-something theme park visitors that the Tim Burton-styled Alice in Wonderland theme did. Couple that with the time of year, and "Freeze the Night" isn't drawing the same sized crowds as Mad T Party did.
Aaand, this is where fans of the ElecTRONica dance party that preceded Mad T Party skip to the comments to complain that ElecTRONica was even better than Mad T Party and Disney should have brought that back, instead. ;^)
What do you think? Which dance party theme did you prefer, or do you think Disney should try something else?

ElecTRONica was amazing. Bring it back! Also bring back Tron Uprising while you're at it Disney.
How about a Hollywood themed party in the Hollywood themed area?
I think that Disney should celebrate terrible, flop movies they've made for kitsch value. Junk like "Pete's Dragon," and "Watcher in the Woods." For most young people, it would be a completely new experience; and, since no one cares much about those films, the Imagineers could let their imaginations run wild.
Two words..... Laser Man
Isn't Through The Looking Glass scheduled to come out next year? It makes sense disney would bring this back to coincide with that film. If Tron ever gets another sequel I'd suspect they'd bring back elecTRONica.

Disney and rave-like parties don't go together. There are a lot of reason for that. Especially one based on a forgettablet film like Tim Burton's Alice. Why not go with a period themed speakeasy "party" with swing dancing. Not based on a film, but incorporating various songs from many films as well as classic big band songs. Has it been done? Yes. Does that mean it's tired? Absolutely not. As a 20-something myself, nothing is more hip and in right now than the classic speakeasy.
