Watch the New On-Ride POV Video of SeaWorld's Mako

April 15, 2016, 10:47 AM · SeaWorld Orlando has sent its new Bolliger & Mabillard hypercoaster, Mako, for its first test run. Let's take a look at the POV video:

When it opens on June 10, Mako will be Orlando's tallest and fastest roller coaster, topping out at 200 feet and running at a top speed of 73 miles per hour. As you can see from the video, the ride should feature abundant airtime elements, as well.

Mako is themed to the shark species "known for their top speed, making extreme jumps and the ability to quickly change course as they pursue their prey," according to a SeaWorld press release. Mako will be the park's third major roller coaster, the B&M floorless Kraken and B&M flying coaster Manta, which won the Theme Park Insider Award for Best New Attraction in 2009.

April 15, 2016 at 5:25 PM · The ride looks good, and I plan to ride it this summer. The scenery however is very meh. Looks like you are about to plunge into a nasty swamp.
April 17, 2016 at 2:48 PM · It looks like it's based on speed and height which will attract riders who don't like the upside down coasters, I for one like the idea of speed and height, looks like one to add to the bucket list
April 17, 2016 at 11:06 PM · Is it weird that the coolest part of this coaster to me seems to happen after the break run? (That's the part of it that makes it a little different from some of the other hypers)
