Walt Disney World expands mobile ordering to more restaurants

August 24, 2017, 8:19 AM · The Walt Disney World Resort has expanded its mobile ordering system to 15 restaurants in its theme parks and Disney Springs dining and entertainment district.

The mobile ordering system allows visitors to use Disney World's official My Disney Experience app to pre-order their meals at selected quick-service restaurants. Our Jeffrey Siegal earlier this month offered a step-by-step illustrated guide to using the system, which he said should be your go-to method when ordering quick-serve meals at the Walt Disney World Resort.

The mobile ordering system takes only credit card payments at this point. If you're on the Disney Dining Plan or using cash, you'll need to queue the traditional way to order at the counter. But Disney says that it will add Disney Dining Plan support to the mobile ordering system at some point.

When you use the mobile ordering system, you browse to the restaurant's page on the My Disney Experience app, then use the ordering option on the app page to start your order. Then you walk to the restaurant and use the app to tell Disney you are there and ready to eat. The counter crew then will put together your order, which you will pick up at a designated mobile order window.

Here are the restaurants accepting mobile orders at the Walt Disney World Resort:

Magic Kingdom:
Columbia Harbour House
Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe
Pinocchio Village Haus
Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant

Epcot:
Electric Umbrella
Liberty Inn

Disney’s Hollywood Studios:
ABC Commissary
Backlot Express
PizzeRizzo

Disney’s Animal Kingdom:
Flame Tree Barbecue
Pizzafari
Restaurantosaurus
Satu’li Canteen

Disney Springs:
D-Luxe Burger

August 24, 2017 at 2:20 PM · Agreed. After a day full of long lines, it was nice to be able to breeze past everybody who can't make up their minds on food. All Disney has to do now is add Blaze Pizza and the app will be perfect.
