The Batman side of the chiller hasn't been working does anyone know why?

I'm not really sure why the Batman half of the Chiller is closed, but it has been for YEARS! I was just at Great Adventure this past week, and there wasn't even a train on the Batman track. Apparently, they are planning on re-installing the LIMS or something shortly.

I heard that when the ride was built, it wasn't wired correctly. This causes more power to be needed for the launch and causes the LIM's to keep blowing out. They are using the LIM's from the Batman side to replace the blown out ones on the Robin side. I also heard that they are going to use old LIM's from one of the Mr. Freeze rides.

Really? Thats probably true.
But I remember last year or maybe the year before that when I went and it was not working I thought it was because early that season it had gotten stuck in the middle of a run. And they where still trying to fix it. But, that would not keep it closed for soo long would it?

I've never been on the Batman side of The Chiller, I've been to the park now maybe 8 times and it has never been working, only Robin which is like the shortest ride EVER. 51 seconds i think? It is so fast, gets your adrenaline pumping.

The Batman side is actually better because of the unusual inverted top hat. That inversion is very cool, especially backwards.

The reason the Batman side is closed is becuase it is getting it's LIM motors on the spike replaced. Last year, they were waiting for the LIMS to come back, and this year they are making slow progress re-installing them. Hopefully it will be up for fright fest.

Although this is unconfirmed, this is what I've heard about the Batman side of the Chiller. While in line for the ride (On a very empty and uncrowded day) The Robin side of the Chiller had some downtime. I got a chance to chat with some of the operators. This is what they said: The Batman side has been down because they took the LIMS from it to run the Robin side. They have been awaiting new LIMS for the Batman side but progress is gonig VERY slow. They tried to get it open for Fright Fest, but it didn't work out as they expected (Many delays) So they expect it to open for the season of 06', along with The El Toro. He did not mention whether or not Batman and Robin would be run at the same time. I have NEVER seen both launched at the same time. I hear it uses too much power???? They might alter the launches though (Launch Robin, then Batman, then robin exc.) I hope to see them both running in 06, I have never gotten on Batman.
