Kingda Ka Breakdown, number 2

Six Flags Great Adventure: By request...

As by request from Dave Chariot, I'm starting another KK breakdown thread. I'll kick off the discussion with some info I found on xtremecoasters.com-

I just received an email from Kristen, the public relations manager for Six Flags Great Adventure. She gave me permission to use this quote regarding the status of Kingda Ka, and YES this is what she said:

"Work on Kingda Ka is progressing steadily and going extremely well with the goal of reopening as soon as possible. We expect at this time that Kingda Ka will reopen by the end of the month."
Kristin

All official Kingda Ka information will be coming directly from public relations at Six Flags Great Adventure. All other information will be subject to investigation and will not be posted until information has been confirmed.

Begin speculation!

I just hope that they take their time and get it right. It will make no sense to rush to fix it only to have another major breakdown this year. This coaster, as with TTD is going to require a LOT of continuous maintenance.

I'll believe the Six Flags PR department when I see the coaster taking off.

The park's PR person has announced that they wish to have it open by the end of the month.

Six Flags really make a big mistake to build this.Do you have an idea how lonh they build this ride?Because if it was too fast,it will be a useless coaster.People won't be able to ride this.

Maybe they should change this...

I really hope they update there site again so we'll know and exact day.

It probably would not be a good idea to go the day it opens though, because everyone is going to want to go then.

Kingda has been testing with full launches for a week now, and many Great Adventure enthusiasts like me believe it will be open this weekend or at the latest early next week.

Kingda Ka is now open. Today it had many soft openings, opening on and off the entire day. It will probably be open the whole day tomorrow.
