Does anyone know what the name of the music is which is playing outside the comic shop near the Spiderman ride at Islands of Adventure in Orlando. I've been trying to find out for ages for my son.

I'm not sure of the name of that particular song, but Universal does offer (or used to offer) a CD with all the music from Islands of Adventure. I have the CD on my Ipod but for some reason all the Marvel songs are missing.

I'm not sure, but I know they sell an IOA soundtrack CD at the big gift shop in the Port of Entry, you may find it on the track list.

Yep, that CD's still available!

It takes a true Islands Of Adventure fan to recognise the music of IOA. Luckily, you came to the right place. And yes I have the album downloaded on my computer. I know nearly all the songs played in the park but only 23 of them are available on the album.

Let me show you.

1) The Call Of Adventure
2) Confisco Grill
3) Ocean Trader Market
4) Skipper Island Tours
5) Welcome to Seuss Landing
6) Seuss Landing Quartet
7) The Cat In The Hat
8) Circus Mcgurcus Café Stoo-pendous
9) The Lost City
10) Sindbad Bazaar
11) Merlin Woods Plaza
12) The Flying Unicorn
13) Jurassic Calypso
14) Camp Jurassic
15) Thunder Falls Terrace
16) Toon Lagoon
17) The Wacky World Of Jay Ward
18) Popeye’s Sweethaven
19) Marvel Super Hero Island Main Street
20) Doctor Doom And Co.
21) The Force Of Storm
22) Banner Science Park
23) The Adventure Lives On

Of course there other songs around but they aren’t recorded on the album.

And Ron, the music you want is probably ‘Marvel Super Hero Island Main Street’ or one of the other two songs around that area but aren’t on the album. Try downloading it of the internet. Hope this helps!

From Gareth H

OK, Mark is #1 fan, not so sure I'd want to buy the album.

You know which part I really like in there....

......Toon Lagoon, the way all the different areas and characters interact to become 1 sound track. Thats way cooler than anything Disney do..

Did they do that for every universal park? Universal Studios Hollywood's single rider line's are closed. What is this noise?

I think that I have been looking for the same song as Ron for a while...i have the 1999 release of the soundtrack and it is not on there if it helps. Also please let me know if you find it out.

From steve lee
Posted June 30, 2007 at 6:48 AM
Whoa - the single rider line is gone? When did that happen?

And is the song that "rollercoaster" song that I think popped up in Matrix? That one gets a lot of play in MSHI

From Mike C
Posted June 30, 2007 at 12:58 PM
That one is played a a lot (called Leave you far behind by lunatic calm), which is in the matrix, but the one i am talking about is rarely played, and it is a loop of only guitar, sounds almost like surfer guitar...

From Erik Yates
Posted July 4, 2007 at 12:04 PM
That song....is elusive. It is not on any soundtrack, and no one knows the name of it. I really wish I could find it as well.
The one that usually plays is called Marvel Super Hero Island, but the one in question....I really dont know. I think it was on the Spiderman Cartoon...or the X-men cartoon.
And for lovers of the soundtrack, found this:
http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Studios-Islands-of-Adventure/dp/B000A44ANE

As for the music that was orignally being sought:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZEVwlh3NJ4g
At the 1:20 mark you'll find it.....I still dont know the name of it, but if you do, please let us know!

Thats the song Erik....PLEASE let me know if you find it, I will as well

From Erik Yates

What I'm going to do is go early one morning and record it.....I'll see if I can clean it up and make it an mp3.....

From Mark Walker
Posted July 6, 2007 at 8:51 AM
While your at it Erik, you could record the other songs around IOA as well (Only if you've got time of course!), preferably those that I didn't list from the CD.

From Mike C
Posted July 6, 2007 at 12:56 PM
Yeah...please list the mp3 if you end up recording it, because I have been looking for this song for almost a year now.

From Erik Yates
Posted July 6, 2007 at 1:26 PM
What other ones are you talking about? There are a lot that I have the names of in Marvel....but the other original songs...most of those are on the CD.

From Mark Walker
Posted July 7, 2007 at 2:29 AM
Well, for an example, in 'Merlinwood' (Dueling Dragons entrance, Oak Tavern etc.) there are 4 songs that play in that area. One of them is already listed on the CD (11. Merlinwood Plaza) but the other three aren't on the CD and I don't have a clue about there names, but I still recognise them when I hear them. Those three are the songs I'm on about.

But then again, that's one area out of about 50, so I hope you've got alot of free time!

From Wilfredo Alvelo

I have the soundtrack...its not there. I guess if you want it bad enough, someone at guest relations might be able to give you the name of it with a low quality recording to let them know which song you are talking about. Otherwise, maybe they can give you a direct recording. Good luck with that guys...it really is a cool theme.

I am not sure if this is what is played right outside of Spiderman, but I do know I have heard it in that area. It's Spybreak by the Propellerheads. It was pretty much made famous (to the masses)by the film The Matrix. They have only one CD to my knowledge which is Decks and Drums and Rock and Roll. That might be a good place to start. Good Luck!

Still cant find it, but does anyone know the name of the music that is played in the resort video (the video that is played in the rooms of the hotels inside the park). It's the first song that's played as the title is being introduced.

We were at Islands of Adventure yesterday and were told that they no longer sell the soundtrack. We have searched the internet and have not been able to find a copy for purchase. If anyone has a resource for the IOA Soundtrack please let me know. My son loves it and I would love to find it for him.

OMG!!! I just bought the official Islands of Adventures soundtrack on EBAY yesterday. I had been looking for that CD for a few years now and I check ebay every once in a while and I found it!!!! The price was a bit steep, it only has a buy it now($60, free shipping), but for me or any true IOA fan its totally worth it. I cant wait to get it in the mail. I was actually jumping with joy.

If you are still looking for it go on ebay and in the search engine just type Islands of Adventures CD. The search will yield three items and second one is it!!!! It will only be on Ebay for 6 more days, so hurry up if you still want to get this probably once in a lifetime chance to still get this CD. The seller only accepts Paypal, so make sure you have an account with them before you commit to buy. Good luck! :)

The sole purpose of the Songs they play at Universal is to drive you crazy trying to think of what movie it was from. I have no idea.

From Paul Stutts
Posted November 26, 2008 at 3:38 PM
The music you are looking for is not on the IOA cd. I also have looked for it and it must be a custom created song. The music on the street in front of Spiderman consists of 3 separate instrumentals lasting about 3 minutes each. The song on the CD is only one of the three. My favorite was the guitar solo. I have tried to ID the song using software but it cannot be found.

Does anyone here own a copy of this CD? If so, I would be sooo grateful if you could send me a copy of it through email or just post it somewhere so I can download it!

There are so many people looking for these tracks, I'm surprised no one has done this already on theme park sites.

PLEASE! I have been searching for so long!

As for the tracks that aren't included on the official soundtrack
KMFDM - Juke Joint Jezebel
Lunatic Calm - Leave You Far Behind
Propellerheads - Spy Break
New Order - Confusion
Meat Beat Manifesto - Prime Audio Soup

Enjoy!

I Got them off Lime wire. If you're looking for "The Call To Adventure", just type in Islands Of adventure and you'll find it. Other songs you may find too. But the key is to keep searching on limewire. What I mean is keep pressing find more results or search by the name. For instance the only songs that I need are "Sinbad Bazaar" and "The Wacky World of Jay Ward" I had to search alot for songs like Confiscos Grill and Ocean Trader Market. But I have them now! I hope this helped you. And if you need any questions answered just ask. = )

Nic, have you ever found anything online that wasn't on the official soundtrack? There's some alternate versions that I've heard in the park that I'd love to get my hands on (especially in the Lost Continent area - primarily remixes of the themes with more orchestration).

And threads don't really die until they hit 100 posts...

No problem erick. Steve, i know exactly what you mean. I whistle many songs that i heard in the park but just didn't find on the soundtrack. I think these songs can only be found in the park unless you or somebody else will or has already recorded them. Otherwise, they probably just belong to the park. = ( I wish I could get my hands on them. Especially with the new wizarding world of harry potter soon to open. I hope those amazing lost continent tracks don't just disappear.

Remember before when i gave everyone a link? i found an even better file!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This link gives you every mp3 from each soundtrack. The files are split into folders...1999 Official Album, 1999 Official Album Special Edition, and the 2000 official album. This was great. If one cd took away certain songs, this file will give you each individual cd so you can have every soundtrack song! The greatest part is if you put every song from every soundtrack on i tunes without repeating songs, there ends up to be 25 songs that last 1 hour and 17 minutes. It fits perfectly on an audio disc! It's been over 3 years, and no one (including myself) has found the song that Mike C was looking for. It's not any of the songs listed above, and it's not on any of the 3 soundtracks. It's an independent song done and not credited.
I've tried using Shazam in the park, but it's unknown. I've upgraded my equipment and will soon get this song. But the mystery will remain.
