Im planning on going to Six Flags Great Adventure this year for 4 people im not 100% sure im going but thats the most likely park im going to. I did a bunch of price addups and came to a total of $982.88 for a 2 day 4 person trip that includes hotels, eating in the park, money for the person who dosent want to ride rides, 2 days in the park, and half a day in the water park. I estimated on eating, hotels, and money for the person who dosent want to ride rides. The cheapest hotel I could find was Econo Lodge at $81 a night it was about 15 minutes from the park. Food I estimated about 200 bucks since amusement park food is always expensive and $100 for the person who dosent want to ride rides. Admission i figured from the online ticket ordering it came to about 439.88. I really need help with this to convince my dad to take me there. Im only 14. I need help planning. What hotels do you know of are the cheapest? What restruants in the park are the best and the cheapest? And as usual WHAT RIDES TO HIT UP! BTW this is my first six flags.

Chase,
Do you live close to another Six Flags Park? If so consider buying a season pass. The only thing is you would need to buy waterpark tickets.

i did a bit more work my price dropped about 200 bucks to 769.91 since my dad wont let me bring any friends. :( I also NEED to know how good any of the hotels are up there. The cheapest I found was the Econo Lodge in Lakewood. About 15 minutes from the park. That hotel any good? What Im planning to do is leave at 4am on a tuesday arrive at the park at noon. Go check in the hotel at 4pm then go back to the park till closing. And on the next day im planning on going to the water park for about four hours. Then im planning on going to the park for the rest of the day. Then the next day ill leave...

I don't think you need 2 days at the park... I could be wrong... growing up there I have the luxury of only spending one day a year there... but I think you will be bored with 2 days at that park..... as for what to do.... get there 20 or 30 min. before the park opens.... and when they let down the barricades.... RUN don't walk to the rollercoaster you want to ride the most... you can probably get two or three quick rides in before the crowd catches up with you... I would advise you to get Medusa, El Torro and Kingda Ka done first... since they are in the same area... then Run to Nitro!!!!

getting there at noon is a bad idea. I think it would be easier to go to the hotel first and get everything at the hotel taken care of then go to the park till closing cause at noon it's packed until like 4 then around 5 the crowds start to clear. I dont think you should bother with the water park cause it has like nothing that good, but if you do decide to go- go to the park first then hurricane harbor cause lines are wayy longer at the park. make sure to go to KK first or El toro-your choice then hit the other rids cause there lines get long reallllyyyy fast. --these are just some ideas , hope you enjoy your visit!

Id say anytime would be about the same check out a ten day forcast or somthing and see if it's going to be cloudy/drizzly anytime and go then to avoid crowds most of the time all rides stay open if it's only a slight rain and there can be NO lines which is awesome.
