New Six Flags?

There is a rumor flying around in Raleigh NC that Six Flags has purchased land in Johnston County NC and plans to build a new park. Has anyone heard this elsewhere?

I have heard nothing, but considering how much Raleigh has grown, it wouldn't shock me, but at the same time, thinking about how poorly the six flags parks have been doing, I would find it kind of odd timing to be building a new park...

I hope not. It will be a crappy overpriced park like every Six Flags. I would rather see that idea of another Dollywood coming here that was in another post.

I think the idea of a six flags in Raleigh would be awesome, we need a good amusement park in NC instead traveling hours for a little fun, I havent heard anything it but I'm all for it.

I think every town across the country has rumors like this, lol...

"Disney is coming!"

"Six Flags is coming!"

Six Flags has five of its current parks up for sale. The company is not in good enough financial shape to build a new one from the ground up.
