Im going to cedar point on either the 31st of august which is a friday, or the 8th of september which is the saturday after labor day weekend with 5 family members, I need some help with several different things,
1.where we should stay, hotel breakers
or breakers express
2.the rates for each one
3.and whitch date should I go on
the 31st of august and miss a day of
school or the 8th of september on the
saturday after labor day weekend?

I personaly think that the 31st of august would be better becuase alot of people would be in school and I wouldnt have to deal with the weekend crowds. well thanks for the help and I really appreciate it!

Do schools start that early? Mine starts in the middle of September...

Depends, Breakers Express is a cheaper option but you will have about a 5 minute drive to the park and have to pay for parking. Go with Hotel Breakers. I would go in August because it will be a bit warmer and crowds shouldn't be that bad.

yea I found out that they dont go back until the beginning of september. I live in louisville ky and we go back in late august so I wasnt sure when you go back to school in ohio.

Getting into the park from Hotel Breakers is infinitely cooler than Breakers Express. There's two entrances that are less than a five minute walk, which is extremely nice when you take advantage of the "get in an hour early" thing.

doesnt the breakers express
have the hour early entry too?

Every Cedar Point Hotel has early entry. Be sure to buy your tickets at the hotel to save $10. Also get the pass and bring your bring extra hotel keys if your group is split up since they check that before you can get on any ride.

Sorry if I misworded that. I was trying to say that it's nicer only having to walk five minutes to get into the park for the early entry as opposed to driving up. Staying at Hotel Breakers also increases your options for where in the park you can enter.

Sorry if that came across wrong!

I don't know. I think their could some good ride time if you ride during the new parade.

Breakers Express is a Cedar Point resort. You get early entry. If you get a room package, you also should get free parking as well. Hotel Breakers is more expensive, but also more convenient with better views. Don't stay at the Breakers unless you are prepared to pay for better than the lowest rate. The Bonn Aire rooms aren't the greatest.

Halloweekends is a great event, but it is packed...and I mean packed...in the evenings. Be prepared to deal with some lines.

well damn... if it is really that packed can you guys tell or give me some tips of how I should plan my day out. or just tell me like what I should get in line for fist and so on....
THAT WOULD BE GREATLY APRECIATED!!!!!!!

My advice is to ride what you came to ride during the day. It's the evening time that the big crowds come out. The rides will still be open, but you will wait. The 14th is also the weekend of the big boat show at the marina.

For that time of year, go two days. It's unrealistic to think that you will get to ride all that you want to in one day during Halloweekends. There is no better plan of attack when it's crowded.

We stayed at the Hotel Breakers and the room was just average. The only reason we stayed there was the early entry and convenience. I think I would stay at the Express next time because the price is almost half and you still have the perks of early entry.

yeah logan i would definetly recomend the hotel express bc it cheaper than the hotel breakers..but for the confusion on which day to go i think it would be best if you went on the 31st bc less people would be there comparing that to the people that are going to be there on a saterday. And plus since its during the week if you leave in the morning you can fight the traffic and stuff of a usual friday morning. But you kno what ever floats your boat.

I would chose Breakers Express for a family of five. The prices their are a lot cheaper than breakers express. They have two Queen beds in each room and it isn't very far from Cedar Point.

The room are about $65 dollars a night at Breakers Express and about $300 the cheapest rate at Breakers. I would book early to get a better rate. The later you wait the higher you will pay. I would probley go the week at Labor Day because it is probley cheaper than the date in August.

FYI. The school year in Sandusky will probably start later this year..and in coming years too. The reason? You guessed it, Cedar Point. They used to start the week before Labor Day, but now probably the week after. That will increase crowds a little more for those weeks, but it will also help with staff at the park.

Personally, the Breakers is my hotel at CP because it has everything. If you need more than one room though, the Express is the more cost effective measure. Prices are on their website, but there will be rooms available, and deals may come. Check the packages on the website for the best value.

Hey, Derek, on the Cedar Point website for the Breakers, when you book rooms, they give you options by floor and sometimes even room numbers. Have you been there enough to recommed which moderately priced rooms/floors are best, or which ones should be avoided?

Thanks in advance.
