2007: Italian Job stunt coaster
2008: Back lot stunt coaster

2007: Tombraider
2008: The Crypt

You don't need to give comments if you don't want to, I was just telling you this

Thanks for that update. I've got quite a few name changes for rides (and parks!) to do on the site's listings this weekend.

Post others that you see needing changing here; that'll help me make sure I get 'em all.

I know about Disney-MGM changing to Disney's Hollywood Studios, Great America becoming California's Great America and Magic Mountain's X becoming X2.

What else?

I already knew about x to x2, but thanks for telling me those. I don't know any more of right now, but I'll post them when or if I get any more

I think the name changes are cool. I especially like the crypt-it fits that ride perfect.

I totally agree. I hope they don't change the effects, though

I dont think they will change the effects, it says on the site that it has fire and water during the ride. So I think it will be the same effects.

I'm not sure I buy into The Crypt for KD's Tomb Raider. It makes perfect sense for the one at KI, but with KD's being outdoors I'm not sure I get it.

(do note that I haven't actually ridden the one at KD, so I'm making assumptions here)

Carowinds

2007: Borg:Assimilator
2008: Night Hawk

2007: Top Gun
2008: Flight Deck

I agree with Steve. Since KD's is outdoors I think they should have came up with another name. When I think of a crypt, I think indoors.

My favorite was when Knight Flight became Dominator at Geauga Lake after CF took over. Every single seat had the batman logo scraped off the headrest. Maybe you can look forward to that at KD this year.

Well looks like Hypersonic is a no go now, Its not on the website anymore. Anyone have any info?

nooo....(sob, sob).. that was one of the best coasters there. I feel bad too, christy, it was dismantled. They say it's trying to find a new home on another site, but it will probably just be left in storage or destroyed or something humiliating like that.
I got so close to wimping out, though, so im thankful for that. Now all hope is lost for me....

Flight Deck is the worst name for a coaster in a while. Not since the Cornball express at Indiana Beach. Comon they couldnt think of a better name than Flight deck??

Hypersonic has been for sale for well over a year now so it was only inevitable. I'm sure what was going on is that someone didn't want to pay what Cedar Fair was asking but it's not like they were in any hurry to sell it. Ride Capacity wise, smart move to remove it from the park.

but still, you have to admit how awesome it was.

Eli- me and you seem to be the only ones who actually liked XLC. I freaking loved and will miss it greatly. It will always have a special place in my heart.

Sadly, I only got to have it in my heart for about 18 seconds because i only got to ride it once- I was so angry!

From Dustin Kern

I'm not saying that I didn't like it, from the management sense it wasn't economical. The down time, maitenance, upkeep costs against rider capacity. It's most definitely a one of a kind ride, not to mention the very first of it's kind.

Do they consider Volcano a Paramount name?

From steve lee
Posted February 17, 2008 at 5:19 PM
Doubtful. There hasn't been a Paramount film by that name (the one back in the 90s was a Fox film).

From Eli Katzman

Steve's right, and volcano was just a really good idea for a ride theme instead of idoling it off of a movie.
