Are posted park hours the real park hours?

Six Flags Great Adventure: Does SFGA ever open earlier than advertised?

We will be there on Saturday. Their website says they open at 10:30, we have a printed brochure that says they open at 10:00 am. I am the type of person who likes to get to the park as early as possible.
We have been to some parks that open earlier than the posted hours on days that are going to be very high volume. Does SFGA do this?

I think they do because when I went last week, I got there right around the time they said they would open, but we saw people in the park and the gates were already open.

I have experienced with other SF parks that the internet time is the official time. They may open some portions of the park a little earlier than others, like Disney does with MK, and do a rope drop.
