Hotel Hershey-Terrible Customer ServiceHersheypark: Incompetant Customer Service, no Guaranteed check in time.
From RJ Scopo
Check in time is 4pm. We arrived for check-in at 3:30 pm. We got to our room at almost 5pm. We were told that the check in time of 4pm was "not a guarantee". While waiting in the lobby, bugs were biting our ankles. The next morning, my entire fanily and I went to the front desk to get directions to their circular dining room for breakfast and to confirm that it was casual attire, we were dressed to spend the day at Hershey Park. The desk clerk assured me, yes it is casual attire. We walked into the restaurant and waited for a table and then the hostess said, Sir, would you mind returning to your room to change your shirt, there are dress restrictions in this dining room." I have never had such an unpleasant experience in my lifetime. We cut our vacation short and left 1 hour later. Upon checking out, we were hit with a $111 fee for leaving early and when asked why we were leaving, we explained our complaints, we were asked to fill out a survey. Good bye. Not 1 mention from the clerk on how she could have improved our experience or kept our business. I will never go back to that hotel.Posted August 7, 2008 at 3:45 PM

I went to Hershey Park when I was 8 (many years ago). I remembered it being great, but never stayed at the hotel. That was a little ridiculous either way. I just thought that parks (even Disney) seem to not be confortable with sleeveless shirts, but usually don't make a big deal of it!Posted August 8, 2008 at 7:12 PM Its too bad it went so bad so fast

I've always heard great things about the hotel but I guess things like this happen. But don't let the hotel stop you from going to the park because the park is nice. (BTW Farenheit is awesome!)Posted August 8, 2008 at 8:26 PM
