First Dubai, now Qatar: Six Flags announced another park in the Middle East
First Dubai. Now Qatar. Don't worry, I've linked a map.
Six Flags has licensed another theme park for construction in the Middle East. This time, the park will be in Qatar. The 500,000-square foot park will be part of the Qatar Entertainment City project.
Earlier this year, Six Flags announced that it was licensing a park in Dubai to Tatweer, which would build a 5-million-square-foot park in that city.
(Both the United Arab Emirates (home to Dubai) and Qatar are on the Persian Gulf. FYI: here's a map.)

Six Flags has such a bad reputation in the U.S. they have to leave the country to drum up new business! ;)

Gag. Just... gag...
Any wagers on how long it'll take them to lose credibility in that part of the world as well?
Follow the money...Follow the money...there is none in the US at the moment. There is a lot of money in the emerging tourist market in the middle east (who ever thought that statement would be true)
Six Flags is only licensing the name. They aren't designing or operating the parks. That will probably be left to the park owners. I have a feeling that these particular Six Flags parks will be a lot different.
