Disney's American Idol... reax?

Walt Disney World: Since I'm on the left coast, I can't offer a review, but I am interested in hearing from our Orlando-area residents and visitors. When you see the show, please post your thoughts about it.

The American Idol Experience is now in soft opening at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Florida.

Since I'm on the left coast, I can't offer a review, but I am interested in hearing from our Orlando-area residents and visitors. When you see the show, please post your thoughts about it.

By the way, also keep an eye out for Disney "ringers" among the contestants. Rumors are flying that Disney's got hired singers ready to "audition" in case the crowd fails to provide any decent talent, especially during lean attendance days and for these first weeks when the attraction is open to the public.

If that turns out to be true, let's see if sharp-eyed annual passholders can ID the ringers online.

I think they should also have terrible ringers. The only time I'd ever watch the show is when buddies would send me clips of the really terrible performers, like William Hung. Those idiots became famous, and Disney could squeeze a few cheap laughs from the crowd with some over-the-top, under-par ringers

I think people will jump to do it. When I was there during Who wants to be a Millionare, it was IMPOSSIBLE to get up there (I got up there! Good times!). Anyway, I have also heard that some of the PI entertainment will be working on the Idol Show too.

I am glad to see the Superstar TV stage in use, but I miss Superstar TV and hope they bring it back. It was a riot!
