Is Six Flags Great Adventure Worth it??Six Flags Great Adventure: After addmission and gold flash pass is Six Flags Great Adventure really worth it??
From Brittany Brimelow
Hello. Me and my family are travelling to the US in a month. Me and my brother are both teenagers and so we both like thrill rides. We are spending a bit over a week in New York and me and my brother want to go to Six Flags Great Adenture. If we went we would get the gold flash pass to get the most out of it we can but that would make it very expensive (For the 4 of us). Is it worth the money and a whole day to go to Six Flags Great Adventure?Posted April 22, 2009 at 9:44 PM

if you pick a good day, yes.pick a less crowded day (weekday) and get the gold flash pass. you will wait in virtually no lines. the rides there are awesome and scary. i'm going in 2 days and i can't wait.Posted April 23, 2009 at 7:02 AM

From what I've seen, Great Adventure definitely looks like it'd be worth it, but I haven't actually been there yet (planning to go late next month!). The Gold Flash pass would cut your waiting time by heaps and you'll fit in plenty more rides than if you didn't get it.Posted April 24, 2009 at 4:02 AM

It's an awesome park! If you can't stay for two days, and the day you visit is a day that would typically be crowded...wait, that's everyday after school's out for the summer...then yes, invest in the pass.Posted April 24, 2009 at 6:07 PM

So worth it. You will absolutly love it. I wished I lived closer. I got the gold flash pass when I went, the longest wait I had was 15mins for KK. Dont pass up el toro, that coaster is absolutly insane. Have fun, and you will!!!Posted April 25, 2009 at 7:12 AM

I agree the park is totally worth it and I too wish i lived closer instead of living in central Long Island and having to drive about 2 hours especially with the traffic that is on the Belt PKWY(only parkway to JFK airport and through Brooklyn)The Coasters are definatly worth the trip. I have never invested in a flash pass but I typically go early in the year or later during fright fest. I would say to invest the money for the flash pass it would be worth it if it is busy and you eill be able to read the park once you walk in.Posted April 25, 2009 at 10:01 AM

It's definately worth it, and I've been going for years and have never once bought any kind of flash pass, if you go on a weekday you can get a buy one get one free for entry and the lines aren't long enough in my opinion to even have to waste money on a flash pass so both of you can get in the park for 50 bucks and enjoy your day, make sure you hit el toro and nitro! have a great time! Not sure those most recent answers, while valid, are gonna help Brittany and her brother much...It was last April she posted, with intentions of visiting GAdv in May '09. Hope she made it and had a blast!Posted April 13, 2010 at 5:53 PM
