Are any rides affected by:

"A portion of Lost Continent at Universal's Islands of Adventure has been closed as work progresses on Universal Orlando’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter."

What is closed?

So far, I think it is still just the Flying Unicorn youth coaster that is closed down. At some point Dueling Dragons will be impacted, but I have not heard a date.

Thanks James. Lets hope DD isn't down too long!

Any thoughts as to how the Disney/Marvel purchase will affect IOA?

The purchase won't affect anything for awhile. Universal owns the rights to Spider-man, Hulk, X-Men, Fantastic Four and Captain America on the east coast.

Things will stay the same for, at least, the next 5 years.

As of today, the only attraction that is closed the flying unicorn. The enchanted oak restaurant is a thing of the past, and the line to dueling dragons has been redirected behind the watering hole bar and over the bridge. Dueling dragons hasn't come down quite yet.
