Disney's Hollywood Studios & Typhoon Lagoon - Your Favorite FoodsWalt Disney World: List your favorite food stuffs at Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios Theme Park and Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.
From James RaoWe recently had some discussions about people’s favorite foods to eat while visiting WDW's Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, and Blizzard Beach. Continuing in that vein, what are some of YOUR favorite Hollywood Studios and Typhoon Lagoon food items? These items can be snacks, sandwiches, dinner platters, candy, ice cream, beverages...whatever. Just make sure you stick to a specific food item and mention where you bought it so others can benefit from your experience.

As in the DAK post, I have very few dining experiences to discuss in this thread, but what I have is yours:
50’s Prime Time Cafe
Hollywood Brown Derby
Toy Story Pizza Planet
I'll post one more discussion thread about WDW foods in the next couple of weeks. At that point I can compile a complete list of everything recommended by TPI users over the course of the last couple of months.
Thanks for all of your input and keep it coming!

Leaning Palms- Grilled Cheese Pretzel and Buffalo Chicken Pizza
50's Prime Time-Caesar Salad with Chicken, PBJ Milkshake, S'mores, and They also had a special appetizer of Fried Cheese (very good, but tiny)
Herbie's Drive-In- Banana Frozen Cooler or Raspberry Lemonade Frozen Cooler with a pretzel and cheese or churro. YUM
Mama Melrose's- Crema Limone and Chicken Pipette
Starring Rolls Bakery- tons of delicious desserts!
From James RaoStarring Rolls has some decent sandwiches too... a ham one in particular. I had forgotten about that place. I think they use the Brown Derby's kitchen, right?

I am beginning to notice a trend, Tim: you like Disney pretzels don't you? ;)

From Joshua CounsilAgree with the PB&J Milkshake at 50's Prime Time. The other food options are passable, but the milkshake makes a visit worthwhile.

From James RaoI think you can sit in the lounge area of Prime Time (I think it is called the Tune-In Lounge or something) and get a shake, without meal reservations, right? I hope so, because I am planning on visiting just for shakes during my visit in May...

Starring Rolls Cafe: any of the pastries.
KRNR Station: Frozen Lemonade (you guys know I can't resist the lemon)
I haven't done as much dining in DHS as the other parks. We usually spend just half of the day here and park hop to either Epcot or Magic Kingdom for the rest of the time. One vacation, we only spent a little over an hour here, just to ride Rockin Roller Coaster and ToT then quickly left to go back to Epcot.
From Sylvia AcostaI know its not a food but I personally love the margaritas at the bar next to the wave pool at typhoon lagoon.

From James RaoDrinks qualify. I personally don't do the alcohol thing, but many others do, so any recommendations you can offer will be helpful to someone.

From Nick MarkhamWell James, everyone basically has named all of my favorites, like Pizza Planet, SciFi Diner, etc.

From Eugene KohWow, I ate at ABC and I didn't like it. Does anyone share a hate with me?
Posted March 12, 2010 at 7:36 AM
From Tony DudaThe ABC commisary is bad. I had a Cuban sandwich there that was tiny and tasteless. I'll never go back since the backlot express is also at DHS for counter service.

From Anthony MurphyYes Eugene! DHS has two of my most hated places in all of WDW. Now, I love my Disney and I have literally eaten at every place in the parks and have tried over and over:

ABC and Mama Melrose Resturante
I know there is love for Mama out there, but I really can't stand it!
From James RaoI had the Cuban at ABC and thought it was okay. However, I believe it has been removed from the menu so it is a non-factor these days.

From Eugene KohI ate Chicken Curry in ABC and it was horrible! But I think the idea of adding trees to the restaurant is not too bad.
