We recently had some discussions about people’s favorite foods to eat while visiting WDW's Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, and Blizzard Beach. Continuing in that vein, what are some of YOUR favorite Hollywood Studios and Typhoon Lagoon food items? These items can be snacks, sandwiches, dinner platters, candy, ice cream, beverages...whatever. Just make sure you stick to a specific food item and mention where you bought it so others can benefit from your experience.

Please, try to keep your posts focused solely on Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Typhoon Lagoon, and the nearby resorts (Pop Century, and Caribbean Beach).

The WDW's Magic Kingdom - Your Favorite Foods discussion thread.

The EPCOT - Your Favorite Foods discussion thread.

The Disney's Animal Kingdom & Blizzard Beach - Your Favorite Foods discussion thread.

As in the DAK post, I have very few dining experiences to discuss in this thread, but what I have is yours:

Hollywood Studios
 ABC Commissary
Cuban sandwich – removed from the menu?

 50’s Prime Time Cafe
PB&J shake – worth every calorie

 Hollywood Brown Derby
Cobb Salad – a meal unto itself
Grapefruit cake – better than it sounds, trust me

 Toy Story Pizza Planet
Cheese Pizza – it’ll do in a pinch

Typhoon Lagoon
  Happy Landings Ice Cream
Garbage Pail – same as Blizzard Beach

I'll post one more discussion thread about WDW foods in the next couple of weeks. At that point I can compile a complete list of everything recommended by TPI users over the course of the last couple of months.

Thanks for all of your input and keep it coming!

Starring Rolls has some decent sandwiches too... a ham one in particular. I had forgotten about that place. I think they use the Brown Derby's kitchen, right?

I am beginning to notice a trend, Tim: you like Disney pretzels don't you? ;)

The chicken curry at the ABC is good.

Agree with the PB&J Milkshake at 50's Prime Time. The other food options are passable, but the milkshake makes a visit worthwhile.

I think you can sit in the lounge area of Prime Time (I think it is called the Tune-In Lounge or something) and get a shake, without meal reservations, right? I hope so, because I am planning on visiting just for shakes during my visit in May...

Scifi Diner: BLT Soup and the Italian Grilled Chicken Sandwich (oh the bruschetta topping) and Cheesecake.

Starring Rolls Cafe: any of the pastries.

KRNR Station: Frozen Lemonade (you guys know I can't resist the lemon)

I haven't done as much dining in DHS as the other parks. We usually spend just half of the day here and park hop to either Epcot or Magic Kingdom for the rest of the time. One vacation, we only spent a little over an hour here, just to ride Rockin Roller Coaster and ToT then quickly left to go back to Epcot.

I know its not a food but I personally love the margaritas at the bar next to the wave pool at typhoon lagoon.

Drinks qualify. I personally don't do the alcohol thing, but many others do, so any recommendations you can offer will be helpful to someone.

Well James, everyone basically has named all of my favorites, like Pizza Planet, SciFi Diner, etc.

Last call for DHS favorites before I submit the penultimate WDW "Food Stuffs" thread sometime this weekend.

Wow, I ate at ABC and I didn't like it. Does anyone share a hate with me?

The ABC commisary is bad. I had a Cuban sandwich there that was tiny and tasteless. I'll never go back since the backlot express is also at DHS for counter service.

Yes Eugene! DHS has two of my most hated places in all of WDW. Now, I love my Disney and I have literally eaten at every place in the parks and have tried over and over:

ABC and Mama Melrose Resturante

I know there is love for Mama out there, but I really can't stand it!

I had the Cuban at ABC and thought it was okay. However, I believe it has been removed from the menu so it is a non-factor these days.

I ate Chicken Curry in ABC and it was horrible! But I think the idea of adding trees to the restaurant is not too bad.
