Pay for parking in advance?
parking passes for orlando theme parks
We are heading to orlando in the summer and doing Disney, universal, seaworld,Bush Gardens & Kennedy can anyone tell me if we can buy a parking permit in advance. We have already purchased our park tickets but my parents are going before us and i hoped they could purchase one for us if such a thing is available
To my knowledge you can't at the theme parks unless you buy an annual pass; they include parking. Not sure about Kennedy(never been). I think even if you have an annual pass to the theme parks you still have to pay to park the first time, until your pass is processed in the park.
If you have the $20 I'd valet at Universal. Their parking process is one of the most ineffiecient and poorly run that I've ever had to deal with. You wait forever in line at the toll booths, and then when you get through that line, you have to wait in traffic that is backed up because they do not know how to handle the flow of cars and pedestrians. Then you have to walk a mile thorough a usually congested area to get to the parks. And you can't use the speedwalks to get anywhere quicker because instead of walking on them all of the fat lazy americans stand on them and block them completely from their intended use. I really hate parking at Universal.. it's why i never used my annual pass much and why I never renewed.
Not at Disney.
However, they do allow you to use the same permit for the various parking lots at the parks.
Now, if you stay at a Disney Resort, you get a parking pass with your room!
Busch Gardens & Seaworld allow you to purchase a parking pass online. When you purchase the parking ticket online you get a discount off the price at the gate.

However you do it (annual pass, free hotel guest parking, buy discounted online, etc.) you must still wait in line at the toll booths. There is no express line at any park to get your car through faster than those who buy at the booth. If you thought that buying parking ahead of time would get you in and parked faster than others, you are mistaken. Have your relatives send you a $20 bill.
yeah.. It won't really save you much time.. but that's cool that the Busch parks let you pay in advance. If you don't have to lock in an exact date, or if you are sure of the exact date you will be at those parks, I say go ahead and get the pass. The prices seem to go up at least a dollar every summer, so lock it in as soon as you can.
Thanks for all the feedback. Having done the parks before i know there is no fast line! or quicker way to get into the parks. It was just to help us budget for our trip if such a thing was available.
