2 days at BGT in JulyBusch Gardens Tampa: Planning my trip to Busch Gardens Tampa at the beginning of July.
From First TimerI'll be spending a few days in Tampa with my fiance at the beginning of July. Given that the ticket at BGT allows a free 2nd entry, I'm wondering if I should extend my visit to the park from 1 day to 2 days.

Right now, I'm thinking of going first on July 1st (Thurs) in the morning to spend half a day there. Given that it's a weekday, I'm hoping that there won't be as much of a line-up at the rides. Then, I plan to go back agin on July 3rd evening for the Segrengeti Safari tour, Kinetix and the fireworks.
I'm wondering if anyone can help with my questions below:
Thanks in advance for your help.

From Domenik JostI don't know what BGT's summer schedule is for the safari but typically it's one per night. Best advice is to look on their website and look for the tours. I know passholders can reserve them online. I think that is available to normal park guests too. Your best bet to get a guaranteed spot for the safari and details about the duration would be to call BGT and make a reservation via phone. Make the reservations early since they do seem to fill them weeks in advance sometimes.

As for spending two days at BGT, the secon day free is great. I would right now however look into a deal BGT and SeaWorld are doing with Wendy's right now. I keep hearing the commercials about it. The deal is to purchase one theme park 1 day ticket to one of the parks and get a second park free. Here in Orlando they say buy a SeaWorld ticket with the Wendy's coupon and visit Aquatica or BGT for free. Those 2nd park tickets can be used any one day between now and the end of the year.
From Pyra DongDomenik's right!

Last I remember was if you bought your ticket AT BGT you got a 2nd day free there OR to use at Adventure Island (it's waterpark neighbor)... but if you bought it at Seaworld, you get a 2nd day free at either BGT OR Aquatica. Either way, it's for a full priced one-day ticket.
But if you buy at BGT, no matter what price you pay for the 1-day ticket, you get a 2nd day free to BGT. Confusing?
They normally offer about 4-ish Safari tours in the summer a day... and can open more tours if the demand is great. There's normally more tour times available in person than online. Sometimes they offer the sunset safari tour which is the latest. Times in the past have started around 5pm (its 15 minutes longer, a few dollars pricier, but includes alcohol ;-))
Crown Colony... it's an okay restaurant. It's great for the view and sitting in roomy air conditioning. It has salads, sandwiches, pasta, seafood platters. I say just eat at Desert Grill and at least watch the corny show "Dance to the Music" while you eat-- but it's not great for a relaxing meal.
heh heh... haven't seen Kinetix yet... but the BGT fireworks compared to Disney... Disney is more magical. BGT has straightforward normal fireworks to patriotic music.
From First TimerI couldn't find any info on the Wendy's deal. According to the websites of BGT, Seaworld and Adventure Island, it seems to have the same promotion: (1) BGT for $64,95, (2) BGT + AI for $74.95 when purchased at AI and (3) BGT + Seaworld for $99.95.

If you can provide me with details of the Wendy's deal, that will be helpful. Thanks!
From Domenik JostI will drop by a Wendy's to find out for you. I'll have it to you as soon as I get the chance to drop by there. Like maybe tonight or definitely tomorrow.

From First TimerThanks for checking it out for me (as obviously the Wendy's in Toronto, Canada won't have the same info)!

I wish I get the same type of helpfulness from this forum everyday in my day-to-day encounter too!
From Tony DudaI don't think the free birthday ride on the safari is being offered anymore. It was a 50th Anniversary thing and that year has passed. There were 2 safari rides a day last I checked, 10 am and 2 pm, but check there web site and do make reservations if you are doing it. Next to Busch Gardens is their water park, Adventure Island, just another idea. July 3 and 4 are fireworks days and earlier in the year I heard Survivor (3rd) and the Guess Who (4th) were playing but the web site doesn't say anything.
