Right now, I'm thinking of going first on July 1st (Thurs) in the morning to spend half a day there. Given that it's a weekday, I'm hoping that there won't be as much of a line-up at the rides. Then, I plan to go back agin on July 3rd evening for the Segrengeti Safari tour, Kinetix and the fireworks.
I'm wondering if anyone can help with my questions below:
1) How often is the safari tour offered and what time will be the last tour? I want to do this on July 3 to make use of the birthday promotion (it's my fiance's birthday that week).
2) Wondering if I should be expecting much out of Kinetix and the fireworks. How would you compare them to disney's standards?
3) I'm thinking of having dinner at the Colony Crown. Any feedback?
Thanks in advance for your help.
As for spending two days at BGT, the secon day free is great. I would right now however look into a deal BGT and SeaWorld are doing with Wendy's right now. I keep hearing the commercials about it. The deal is to purchase one theme park 1 day ticket to one of the parks and get a second park free. Here in Orlando they say buy a SeaWorld ticket with the Wendy's coupon and visit Aquatica or BGT for free. Those 2nd park tickets can be used any one day between now and the end of the year.
But if you buy at BGT, no matter what price you pay for the 1-day ticket, you get a 2nd day free to BGT. Confusing?
They normally offer about 4-ish Safari tours in the summer a day... and can open more tours if the demand is great. There's normally more tour times available in person than online. Sometimes they offer the sunset safari tour which is the latest. Times in the past have started around 5pm (its 15 minutes longer, a few dollars pricier, but includes alcohol ;-))
Crown Colony... it's an okay restaurant. It's great for the view and sitting in roomy air conditioning. It has salads, sandwiches, pasta, seafood platters. I say just eat at Desert Grill and at least watch the corny show "Dance to the Music" while you eat-- but it's not great for a relaxing meal.
heh heh... haven't seen Kinetix yet... but the BGT fireworks compared to Disney... Disney is more magical. BGT has straightforward normal fireworks to patriotic music.
If you can provide me with details of the Wendy's deal, that will be helpful. Thanks!
I wish I get the same type of helpfulness from this forum everyday in my day-to-day encounter too!
