I believe towards the end of June. It has been testing successfully, but there have just been some problems getting Ohio officials to come to clear the ride for operation. That and now the new boats that work are finally installed. Should be soon!

From what I gather Cedar Point delayed the inspection due to issues with the boats. Right now there is some confusion (different news outlets are reporting different reasons) whether new boats are being manufactured or further modifications are happening to the existing boats. The park is not giving any official opening date beyond "as soon as possible".

As of this weekend there weren't any boats on the ride, nowhere in trough or station. There didn't even seem to be any in the ride's out-of-water service areas.

So we'll see. The general talk/hope is that it will be open by the Forth of July.

Don't it figure- we're going there this weekend for a mini-vacation, and no STR yet. Lucky it's only 45 minutes away.
