Any Coasters Closed at SFMM?Six Flags Magic Mountain: Visiting in July 2010.
From Dan Guarente
I'm going to SFMM on July 19th and wondering if any coaster there are closed. I've been looking forward to going there for a while and really don't want to go there being disappointed a coaster is closed.Posted July 8, 2010 at 7:10 PM

They don't have any major closures known at this time. Sometimes coasters will close for a short period of the day and then reopen immediately after fixed!Posted July 9, 2010 at 8:54 AM

Went there yesterday, July 25th, as a matter of fact and it was still closed.Posted July 26, 2010 at 5:44 PM There was only a sign outside posted about how it was under construction or something... Hmm....standard yearly maintance or complete refurb? Anyone know?

Superman: The Escape is closed til 2011. There is a sign in the front of it that says "Something BIG is happening at Superman: The Escape"Posted August 3, 2010 at 3:52 AM

Well....since my last visit to the park I've been hearing some rather odd rumors that Superman is getting a new look and partial ride refurb...Posted October 2, 2010 at 11:59 PM From what people are saying, part of the ride will be rethemed as "Bizarro" with the coaster going in a backward fashion as opposed to how it ran prior to its closing. The other track will remain the same and still be called "Superman: The Escape" So, in other words...the two track tower coaster will essentially become two rides instead of one. Wheter this will count as another addition to the already established 16 coaster tally can be debated, especially if you're a Cedar Point fan...

^Basically SFMM is taking my idea of having dueling Superman VS Bizarro. I won't complain though, as long as they follow through with the awesome idea, as there is so much potential.Posted October 3, 2010 at 12:51 PM
