Busch Gardens Tampa AdviceBusch Gardens Tampa: Worth the trip?
From Sara M
I'm heading to Tampa next weekend and wanted some advice about Busch Gardens. I know they currently have the dining deal going so that was a big incentive in purchasing the tickets but my bf who I am going with is not a roller coaster fan. I love animals but is there enough to do between the three water rides and animal activities to keep us busy through breakfast and lunch. We wouldnt plan on staying past 2 or 3 in the afternoon. I'm a current employee at BG and I recently went with my family, including one relative who can't ride roller coasters due to health issues, and he still definitely enjoyed himself.Posted July 21, 2010 at 10:18 PM If this is your first time, I definetely definitely definitely recommend KaTonga if you're a Lion King fan. It's a Broadway Style Show made by the makers of Lion King - On Broadway. It won't be around much longer. They usually run 3-4 shows depending on the day. You can enjoy Rhino Rally, and if you've got an extra couple of bucks, the Serenghetti Safari is great too.... I believe its $35 per person, but I'm not sure (as I get discounts). They take you out in a small group on a truck and you get to feed/pet the giraffes as well as get some great shots. The water rides and shows should be great and enough to hold over the kid in you... Whenever you come, visit me at the Smokehouse! lol

I agree with Ashton. KaTonga is an excellent attraction rivalling the quality of the live musical shows at Disney World.Posted July 27, 2010 at 1:49 PM My mother, who cannot stand anything with drops, really enjoyed Busch Gardens. The park has some really beautiful sections. Even some of the coasters are dynamic works of art! Spend a moment watching Montu to understand what I mean. It could be the best roller coaster in Florida, and is certainly one of the most attractive I've ever ridden.

I went to Busch just two days ago (Monday) and highly recommend the trip. The park is very big, especially having to use the detoured construction routes, but the coasters are amazing, water rides pleasing, and Katonga is very worth while.Posted July 28, 2010 at 8:14 PM I would get the meal deal if I were you as I did when I went since it saved us a lot of money!
