Tim, sign me up. I've never gotten to defend a title before, plus I want to get back at Dan for comparing me to George W. Bush! ;+) I hope for much less drama this time. If I want drama, I'll listen to my 15y.o. daughter tell me about what happened in school.Posted September 17, 2010 at 10:51 AM

From Jorge Arnoldson
I could do a great job at this. When I was in the fourth grade, I was so obsessed with theme parks, I made plans for one that I thought I would design in the near future. This looks like an awesome opportunity to show off my imaginative skills. So, count me in, Tim!Posted September 19, 2010 at 1:31 PM

I posted on the flume instead of this thread. In case you don't see it, I won't be returning for this match. Designing something new every week is too time-consuming. If we had two weeks per challenge, I would consider rejoining.Posted September 19, 2010 at 10:04 PM Thanks for the invite and good luck to the competitors.
From James Koehl
Joshua, believe me I understand the time involved! It was my understanding that Tim is going to give us two weeks to get a challenge ready, but we'll still be posting weekly. I know that means working on two ideas at once, but that also gives us one week to rough out the ideas and one week to fine-tune them. Hope you change your mind ;+)Posted September 20, 2010 at 3:10 AM
From Tim W
Sorry to hear that Joshua. As much as I would love to have you return, I just can't give you guys two weeks to post your idea. It would make the competition too long, and boring to the followers. Posted September 20, 2010 at 4:26 AM

We've got Simon from Australia, Adriel from Singapore and Joshua from Canada. Quite an international group! Did I miss any other nationalities? Tim, you thought you had problems with time zones during Water Park Apprentice! Maybe you should use Greenwich Mean Time.Posted September 21, 2010 at 5:09 PM
From Tim W
Oh man, this is gonna be a rough season already!!!Posted September 21, 2010 at 6:13 PM The first challenge of Theme Park Apprentice 2 is hometown heroes. In this challenge, you will be creating a new attraction for your hometown theme park. Or a theme park that is relatively close to where you live. More details will be released when the challenge is posted.
From Jose Vazquez
I'm definetly in for this round. Couldn't get enough of the amazing concepts from the last competition. (the water ride centered to the sinking of the Titanic was a classic)Posted September 21, 2010 at 7:22 PM Can't wait for the upcoming challenges.

That means my home park Lagoon, and I have plans so big, that after this challenge, you will all consider Lagoon to be in the ranks of Disney and Universal! Wuhahaha!!!Posted September 22, 2010 at 6:20 AM
From Joshua Counsil
Maybe we should create a Facebook group or something to announce new challenges and remind people of posting deadlines. It must be tiring for Tim to have to remind people individually by e-mail every time they forget to post.Posted September 22, 2010 at 10:20 AM

Joshua, Tim shouldn't have to remind people to post. No post, no play. Your boss shouldn't have to remind you to come to work, and we're pretending to be trying to be chosen as his apprentice by winning this competition. Tim says when we have to post by, and unless he decides to give an extension we have to have posted by then. With this many competitors, Tim can't be expected to babysit us.Posted September 22, 2010 at 5:29 PM
From Tim W
Especially in this season, with 29 contestants, I cannot be expected to email anyone constantly about rules, ideas, or help. I don't mean to come off sounding as rude or mean, but it is overwhelming enough having such a large following. The format will change a bit due to the craziness this season. A group of probably 5 will be eliminated each week until we are down to about 15 or so people. Then the double elimination will remain. I will have the full outline of all the rules posted when the first challenge is posted. But I warn you, no post before that Saturday deadline, and your fired. Posted September 23, 2010 at 5:31 PM The hometown heroes will be the first elimination rounds. In order to make it into the meat of the competition, you must prove yourself in these challenges. They will all be related to your hometown park, and only one park may be chosen if you have more than one. The first round, as you already know is an attraction, the second will be a store, the third a restaurant, and fourth a hotel. All challenge ideas must be posted on the website. No pictures may be posted in these pre-challenges. Any violaters will be on grounds for automatic elimination.
From Russell Meyer
I'll give it a whirl.Posted September 23, 2010 at 5:31 PM
From Tim W
Alright 30 contestants, I'm going to officially close signups at this point. Posted September 23, 2010 at 5:43 PM The first set of challenge as I stated will be the hometown heroes challenges. I will be posting the official rules pertaining to this set when the challenge is posted. But as for the first 4 challenges, they will be: Attraction, Store, Restaurant, and Hotel. The later challenges will be posted soon! As I'm already thinking ahead, get your passports ready because next season will be International Park Apprentice (Working Title). However, this season won't probably start until the following may.
From Marcus Guimaraes
This oughta be fun, seeing as I live in Orlando and can pick any of my favorite parks. I've got a couple ideas floating around, I'll try one of them. When can we expect the competition to begin? Will we be notified in any way, shape, or form?Posted September 28, 2010 at 6:58 PM
From Tim W
It will start this Sunday. It will be posted on the disucussion board where you will have until Saturday to submit your idea. I will not be emailing and pestering people to post. If people do not post this first week, they are fired. Posted September 28, 2010 at 8:02 PM
From Andy Milio
Can I just choose a Florida park, because I live in Tallahassee, and Tallahassee has no theme parks :(Posted September 29, 2010 at 4:11 AM
From Tim W
Yes you can, I believe I stated that you can choose your hometown park or a park close to your hometown. Posted September 29, 2010 at 4:47 AM
From Samantha McCrae
This sounds like fun! I'm new to this site and just finding my way around but might sign up next time! and will track this to get to know the in's and out's of this game. - I live in Scotland though - theme parks are s**t here :L so I imagine my idea would follow along the same lines :) haha!Posted September 29, 2010 at 5:15 AM
