Many thanks.....

Blizzard Beach! You cannot go wrong with either but I think things are just a little bit better done at BB. I love the BB theme which is like no other water park around. I don't get as worn out at BB either. The ski lift is a relief to your feet as well as a fun ride even though you do have to wait in a line. And on many of the slides your tube/raft is brought up to you rather than you having to carry up a bazillion stairs. If you have never tried a water coaster though you may want to try Typhoon Lagoon for the Crush 'n Gusher. The Shark Reef at TL is also unique but it's over quick. Food is similar at both and very good. Lockers are well done at both parks too. Have fun!

I've been to both parks this Summer and I enjoyed both. Typhoon Lagoon has the best slide of the two, it's an amazing water coaster that shoots you up and down with speed and thrills. Blizzard Beach has the craziest water slide in the world, Summit Plummit, if you have guts, that's the premier attraction there. Slush Gusher is also good at BB. Typhoon Lagoon has the best wave pool in the world, but be warned, these waves don't joke around at all. The Shark Reef is well done too. The lazy rivers in both parks are good, I preferred Blizzard Beach's actually, but that's just preference.

Overall, I'd rank Typhoon Lagoon ahead of Blizzard Beach.

*NOTE - Try Aquatica as well, great water park in my opinion. I had a huge amount of fun here. The Roa Rapids (a body lazy river) is an experience in itself.

Typhoon Lagoon > Aquatica > Blizzard Beach

My opinion.

I think each park has it's good points and areas of opportunity.

While both have excellent theming I am always drawn to the Christmas theme, especially when you see the "cold" theme in very hot weather!

Typhoon has the best "beach like" appearance and lots of nice white sand. They also pipe all beach music at Typhoon and I kind of like that better than the winter wonderland chimes you hear at Blizzard.

Now for the attractions:

Blizzard Beach by far has the best waterslides of the two. They are faster, more plentiful, and longer! The family style raft ride is better as well with the rafts meeting you at the top of the hill instead of having to haul them up the stairs yourself. Major waterpark bummer! Of course the other rides that require tubes are all self-service, but they are much smaller tubes than the family attraction.

Typhoon Lagoon has the Crush 'n' Gusher which is a very cool water coaster with three different coaster experiences to choose from. Typhoon also features the Shark Reef where you can snorkel with beautiful fish.

Typhoon also has the best wave pool of the two, but beware, this pool can do some damage to you if you are not ready to be smashed by some powerful waves! I have seen many a scraped knee (including my own) come from this pool!

Both have food that will not have me writing home about soon, but they have some nice sweet snacks to choose from and hey, when I am out for a fun day I don't care about health food.

I guess the only two real negatives I have about the park are:

Together they would make one great park, but on their own they seem to be lacking a bit of snap for me. I wish Blizzard had a water coaster and I wish Typhoon had some "real" slides in addition to the very mild ones there.

The second is they fill up so darn quickly and if you don't get there real early in the summer you will have to deal with some very mannerless tourists that take up 5 loungers for 2 people and cause a scene if you try to use one. For that reason we usually stay away until the fall which is the best time to go anyway.

I do love to go to both parks and we have annual passes which are a steal if you live in the Central Florida area.

As for the person who said "don't forget Aquatica", well just go there once and you will forget Aquatica. It was a lot of hype followed by mediocrity in my book, but that is just my opinion. Others may fall in love with it!
