Disney All-Star ResortsWalt Disney World: What is the best Disney Value Resort if Pop is booked?
From Anne Duncan
I have stayed at Pop Century numerous times and been very pleased. I am about to book for an upcoming trip and Pop is full. My concern about the All-Star resorts is the bus line stopping at all three resorts. I have read mixed reports on whether the bus stops at all three or if it goes to each individually. If I stay at All-Star Sports will I still have a long wait to board/commute since it is the first one in that line? Thanks!Posted October 5, 2010 at 10:09 AM

If you stay at sports, you will generally be the first one picked up and last one off. Personally my favorite theme is the movies. Music is excellent for its family suites. And sports is prime for its location. So I guess that matters to you. I dislike the bus system however, as it almost gives a feeling that you are second rate guests staying on Disney property since you have 3 hotels to one bus. Posted October 5, 2010 at 4:04 PM

when I was there during Xmas some of the buses stopped at all 3 and some went to each individual hotel. depending how crowded they were. But if you stay at one of the more expensive hotels there are multiple stops as the bus circles the resort. Posted October 6, 2010 at 12:46 PM

I'm staying at Music November 10-13th with my wife. I've stayed in a family suite there before and it was great, but I've never stayed in a standard room. Oh, and I despise the bus system. I love the convenience of staying on Disney property and I think this time I might just drive my own car to the parks.Posted October 6, 2010 at 1:14 PM

I stayed at Sports a few years back at a time the parks were supposed to be quiet. I still had to wait over a half hour to be able to board a bus to MK, though.Posted October 6, 2010 at 2:59 PM

I appreciate all your feedback! I will hold off a bit longer to see if Pop opens up and if not then go with Sports. I really like the one stop at Pop. Thank you!Posted October 7, 2010 at 7:31 AM

You need to be flexible with the buses. If the line to MK is too long, take the bus to EPCOT, then take the Monorail back to MK. If you have a park hopper you can take the boat(between France and the UK)from EPCOT to the Studios. If your feet are up to it you can actually walk it. There are always more than one route to the parks. Except Animal Kingdom. Posted October 12, 2010 at 10:44 AM
