We had no elimination last week, so we will move on to this week. In this week's challenge, you will be designing a restaurant for your hometown park, the same park you used the past two weeks. Please include the location in the park and the name of the restaurant. You must include a sample menu and prices of the food that your restaurant will be offering. Your restaurant may either be a sit-down, quick service, or even a buffet. There just must be some kind of dining area for people to eat. The only limitation that I am including is the use of characters. You may not have a character dining as that will be a future challenge. As always, have fun and good luck with designing a new restaurant for your hometown park.

Here is the new schedule:
Challenge 4: DHS Musical Show, 10 contestants
Challenge 5: Entertainment for Downtown Disney, 9 contestants
Challenge 6: Pavilions for Epcot (Duo Challenge), 8 contestants
Challenge 7: Harry Potter Show, 6 contestants
Challenge 8: Character Dining for Disneyland, 5 contestants
Challenge 9: Hotel for Universal Hollywood, 4 contestants
Challenge 10: Themed Land for Holiday World, 3 contestants
Challenge 11: New Busch Gardens park in California, finale challenge

Please note the switchero of challenges 4 and 7. The harry potter show has moved down on the list of challenges.

And as usual, you guys must post by the end of Saturday

The Frosty Palace

For those of you familiar with one of the most iconic movies of our time, The Frosty Palace will bring back memories of the T Birds, The Pink Ladies and of course Greased Lightning. Have you picked it? The Frosty Palace is the fictional diner in the 1978 smash movie Grease!

Warner Brothers Movieworld touts itself as an immersive movie park experience, where guests can see and ride the movies.  The Frosty Palace will be a sit down dining experience, where staff will dress in Frosty Palace uniforms and authentic food and drink will be served.

A welcome respite from the heat outside, the Frosty Palace serves everything from malt shakes to hot dogs, and guests can enjoy them either in the diner, or take with them back out into the park.

Stepping into the Frosty Diner will be like stepping into the world of Grease.
Every hour the staff perform a musical tribute to the award winning movie, performing to many of the shows most memorable tunes.

Picking Grease

I chose Grease because it holds a place for many people in their memories. Whether it be the tunes, the story, the excitement, Grease hits many demographics.

Those kids who may be to young to have ever heard of Grease will still be excited by this wonderul, ecletic restaurant.  Those patrons who are not interested in the movie will sill enjoy the 1950's atmosphere and decor. This restaurant is more than somewhere to grab a bite. It's a place to relax, grab a quick and simple meal or drink and Immerse yourself in The Frosty Palace, home of the T Birds and the Pink Ladies.

The Frosty Palace will be a welcome inclusion to Warner Brothers Movie Worlds restaurant line up.

Intro: We all know that World Expo at Universal Studios Florida is missing a good restaurant. Not for long. World Expo will get none other than...

The Simpson family’s favorite restaurant has arrived at Universal Studios Florida!
Menu: There’s plenty of things on the menu at Krusty Burger. Here’s a short list:
*Krusty Burger- a hamburger, which you can get with tomatoes, onions, lettuce, along with the condiments (ketchup, mustard, etc.). Costs around $3.
*The Clogger- a pork sandwich. Costs around $3
*Partially Gelatinated Nondairy Gum-Based Beverage- a milkshake. Comes in three flavors: vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry. Costs around $2.25
*Krusty Fries- french fries. Come in 3 sizes: Small, Medium, and Large. Costs around $1.07 for small, $1.79 for medium, and $2 for large
*Drinks are as follows:
Fountain Beverages
Water
Duff Beer (must be appropriate age and must show proof of appropriate age)

Theme: Krusty Burger is set up like your local McDonald’s, only with a Simpson’s theme. Booths are set up, as well as standard tables. The restaurant is designed to match the one from the show, as well. The Simpson’s theme song constantly plays throughout the restaurant. Fans of the show will be in cartoon heaven.

Well, there you have it. Thanks for reading, and God bless.

^ I actually made the prices similar to McDonald's or Burger King's prices :p Hey, theme park restaurants aren't cheap :) But I did go back and edit the prices some, not a lot.

After I designed an extravagant gift shop based around Superman last week I decided to tone it down and do something more simplistic. My restaurant will be called The Coaster Crossroads. It will be located to the far left of Darien Lake theme park. It will be themed to be a down and dirty American dive that serves large servings for reasonable prices. Right next to the restaurant will be The Ride of Steel which is great because the other main theme of the restaurant is Roller Coasters. You will start by ordering your food at the counter and carrying it to your table. The tables are the most exciting part of your visit to the restaurant because your table will be a real coaster. The coasters will be wide enough to fit four people comfortably while they eat. The sounds of All-American Rock n’ Roll will fill the restaurant while you eat. As well as the sounds of The Ride of Steel zooming past. There will be an extensive toppings bar with everything you might want to put on your burger (ketchup, hot sauce, nacho cheese you name it) and the toppings bar will be built into a coaster track. And to finish your coaster experience you can walk directly from the restaurant into the line for the Ride of Steel.
Small Sample Menu
Grease Platter: A hometown favorite in Upstate New York better known as a garbage plate. This will be the signature dish of the restaurant. It’s a mess of a meal mixing cheeseburgers, French fries, homefries, mac salad, hot sauce, meat sauce, ketchup, mustard and onions on one big plate. Here’s a look http://www.fdenofa.com/images/food/garbage_plate.jpg .
Corscrew burger: A make your own burger experience.
Hotdog Launchers: A new take on the hotdog because instead of using a bun the dog will be wrapped in a tortilla. This will ensure all your toppings stay together nicely.
InversiOnion Rings: A tower of unlimited Onion Rings.

County Faire Winner’s Tent

Situated in the County Fair area of Six Flags Great America, this new restaurant, which will take the place of Farmer’s Market, will showcase the best of the Midwest in food! Many of the items will be natural and local, with heavy representations of Wisconsin and Illinois (SFGA is almost on the border). It will be table service, but will be situated in a building that looks like a Country Fair tent. Inside, there will be “award winner’s photos on the wall with their ribbons of accomplishments. Many of these will be inside jokes and individuals involved with Great America including one for a Mr. Bruce Wayne and Mr. Six. There will be wooden tables for guests to sit and eat at in the center. Our servers will be dressed like farmers. Here are some of the dishes:
Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese Soup- Made with REAL Cheddar Cheese and Wisconsin Ale ($5)
St. Louis Style Ribs- Come and taste some ribs from the “South” of the Midwest ($15)
Chicago Hot Dog- Come have the all beef hotdog with all the Chicago fixins on it (NO KETCHUP!!!) ($6)
Oberweis Ice Cream and Milkshakes – Illinois’ very own Dairy brings you the rich milk of the Midwest ($2-5)
Chili Mac- Yes, it is from TX, but Chicago is one of the first places outside of TX that was introduced to chili due to the World’s Fair ($7)
Omaha Beef- from the Great Plains comes pure corn fed beef strip steak ($20)
Midwest Burger- Beef from Omaha, Onions from Illinois, Bacon from Kansas City, and Cheddar Cheese from Wisconsin make up this burger from all over! ($10)

Also, if you finish everything on your plate, you will receive the Blue Ribbon for “Best Eater”.

So come on down! The Judge is waiting for you!

Location: Cedar Point Amusement Park, Sandusky, Ohio

Premise (and not actually happening, so don't start any rumors!) : Cedar Point has decided to replace Disaster Transport with a new roller coaster, The New Cyclone, on the approximate site of the 1929 classic Cedar Point Cyclone. Included in the plans for this amazing, high-tech wooden coaster is the idea for a new, exciting and unique restaurant, one that celebrates and embraces the passion that Cedar Point visitors have for their coasters. This one-of-a-kind restaurant is named:

Photobucket

The High Rollers restaurant at Cedar Point will stand three stories above the ground, and will straddle and partially encompass sections of the New Cyclone coaster. It will be accessed via elevator or stairs and will have a separate entrance from the Cyclone's queue. The New Cyclone's track will actually pass through the High Rollers' dining room twice, once on the lift hill and once later in the ride as it descends one of its hills. The physical structure of the coaster and the restaurant will be completely independent, to keep the shaking of the coaster from causing (too much) vibration on the tables of the diners. Floor-to-ceiling windows will completely enclose the two portions of the restaurant where Cyclone passes through it, to soften the noise and protect both riders and diners. Since the restaurant will sit mainly inside the support structure of the coaster, diners sitting along the outside windows will also have the coaster tracks running next to them, so that no dining table is far from the excitement or the roar of the coaster. This is not a restaurant for quiet, intimate dining, but a high-energy, noisy and unforgettable dining experience for coaster enthusiasts of all ages.

Throughout the restaurant, mounted from the ceiling, are flat-screen monitors showing POV films of other roller coasters in the Cedar Fair family throughout North America. By watching these monitors from the comfort of their tables, diners can experience riding "The Mighty Canadian Minebuster" from Canada's Wonderland,"Jaguar" in Knott's Berry Farm,

"Intimidator 305" at King's Dominion,

"The Beast" at King's Island

along with dozens of other coasters found throughout the continent at Cedar Fair parks. Many of the towering coasters at Cedar Point can be seen through the tall windows that form most of the exterior walls of High Rollers, and from the observation deck that sits above to the restaurant. The observation deck will serve as an area for diners waiting for their table to be ready, and for those who have finished their meals and want to watch Cyclone from the center of the ride.

The menu and prices at High Rollers will be based on T.G.I.Fridays, which is a corporate partner with Cedar Fair and will actually operate High Rollers. The $6.99 lunch special would include soup (such as broccoli cheese or French onion), salad, breadsticks and beverage, and the $16.99 three course special would offer a wide variety of appetizers, entrees and desserts such as fried mozzarella, flat iron steak and chocolate peanut butter pie.

Photobucket
Photobucket

There will be some unique additions to the menu to promote the theme of the restaurant and the history of Cedar Point. Momma Berardi's French Fries, a historic tradition from Cedar Point's past , will be available again and served with meals
Photobucket

along with Ross's foot-long hot dogs ($5.99) and corned beef sandwiches ($7.99), and for the first time in decades, Crystal Rock Beer (a local brew) will be once again served at Cedar Point. These historic additions to the Cedar Point menu will be mentioned but not over-emphasized in promotions. Long-time visitors to the park will recognize and appreciate this historic salute to the past in this modern and unique dining establishment, and younger visitors will be introduced to a delicious taste of the park's culinary past. After each meal, instead of a hard candy mint being offered with the bill, each diner will be offered a piece of Cedar Point's famous salt-water taffy, mint-flavored of course.
Photobucket

Diners at High Rollers can use their meal receipt as a "fast pass" to get a one-time front-of-line entrance to Cyclone. There will be a special entrance to the loading platform only accessible from the restaurant, and once the meal receipt has been "punched" by the ride operator it can't be used for "fast pass" privileges again. High Rollers is also the first and only restaurant in Cedar Point to take reservations in advance.

High Rollers: a one-of-a-kind dining experience for the whole family, only found at Cedar Point, America's Roller Coast!

Hey, I will not be able to post tomorrow, so if i can i'll post the real thing on Sunday. But i know Saturday's the limit so here is my abbreviated restaurant.

***Granny's Cook House***

This would be in the Buggs Bunny's World section of Six Flags Over Georgia. This would be presented as a large house(Granny's) in this land. The main eating room would be a large family-like room. Tweety(in a cage and AA) would hang in the center so all can view him occasionally remarking various things. Sylvester would occasionally come out and would "hide" to try to get Tweety but Granny will come out and chase him away. This kid friendly restaurant would have basic dishes like pizza, burgers, pasta, and more that would be much higher quality than the rest of the park's food offerings. The food would be about $8 for a kids meal and $10 for adults.

feedback would be great!

You guys do know that there are only a bout half the day left to post, and half of you have yet to post! I mean I understand that you may be posting later, but people better not be skipping the deadline again!

Anyways here is the description for next week:
Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios there are many new refreshing ideas coming out such as Toy Story Mania, Star Wars 2, and the rumored Pixar Place expansion. However, my main concern with the park is the state of its current shows. Disney’s Hollywood Studios currently features three shows that are almost, if not 20 years old! The oldest, Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular, I think should be replaced by the Indy coaster or adventure ride. The newest one at 18 years is Voyage of the Little Mermaid. I am thinking this will close soon due to the Little Mermaid attraction at Magic Kingdom. Personally, I am hoping for Animagique from France as a replacement. Lastly, the Beauty and the Beast show has been around for 19 years. This is what your challenge will focus on this week. To be honest, I have never been a huge fan of this show and have always felt that it does not do the movie justice. While it closed at Disneyland and Disneyland Paris in the mid 90’s, it still is on the theater of the stars stage. But in this week’s challenge you will be designing the replacement! For your replacement you may bring another Disney movie to life, combine Disney movies, or even invent your own musical show. There is not alot of limitations for what you can use in your show, besides having to be musical. For your show, include a list of characters involved, the length of the show (keep it around 30 minutes), a breif storyline, and the songs. Do NOT include dialogue for the show. It cannot be a remake of any other Disney theme park musical. I am glad that I am finally including this challenge, as it was supposed to be in the 1st season. I am looking forward to hearing all your ideas for this long running show’s replacement.

Sorry for posting so late but here it is:

Location: EPCOT, England Pavilion

Name: Doyle's Dinners

One of Scotland's greatest writers is Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, this restaurant is dedicated to him.

This restaurant will be one of a kind except for the one I made last TPI at Disney Hollywood Studios called Sunset Room. It will be a mystery, who done it, where did it go type restaurant. But this restaurant will be a character dinning experience with characters not seen in the park except for Fastasmic! with characters: Maleficent, Frollo from Hunchback of Notre Dame, Cruella De Vil, Jafar, and Dr. Facilier, also known as "The Shadow Man".

So it will be a character dinning experience with Disney Villains, and also a mystery dinner with different mysteries each night!

The meal will be traditional Scottish meals serving chicken, beef, pheasant and lamb.

The price will be a one time price and will include an appetizer, entree and dessert. The price is $25 for the afternoon and $35 at night. So its a 3 course meal.

The way the mystery goes: When you are seated the server will give a run through on how the lunch/dinner will go and overview of who Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is and what he did. Then during each course the server will ask if you have figured it out and if not will give the next clue. If at the end you still cant figure it out then they will go through all the clues and lead you through the case.

Overall this restaurant will feature 2 uniques experiences one a mystery who done it and then meeting some of the most popular villains where you cant find these guys anywhere on Disney Property except for shows!

==Wild Wild Westerant==

Wild wild Westerant will be a large new restaurant located in the Pioneer Village section of Lagoon Amusement Park. It will be themed to a big western saloon, featuring a main level as well as an upper tier.

This will not, however, be just an ordinary restaurant. the whole time there will be somebody palying the classic western tunes on the piano while guests eat. Though every 10 minutes, some short show will occur. Sometimes there will be an outlaw that walks in and causes a fight, maybe there are some showgirls (with clothes on, just think western style) that put on a performance. The day is full of all sorts of unqiue experiences, all of which feagturing stunts that may including people swinging from the rafters: LITERALLY!

As far as the food goes, think western style food. Here is a good idea of the menu:

=Apetizers=

Outlaw Onion Rings
Cheyenne Cheese Fries
Pickled Pigs Feet

=Beverages=

Homemade Root Beer
Homemade Lemonade
Milk
Coca-Cola Products

=Entrees=

Rio Grande Burger- When we say grande, we mean GRANDE! this will be a large burger only for the "brave at stomache"!

Lone Ranger Burger- Another hearty burger meant for real men.

Santa Fe fingers- an adult portion of chicken fingers and fries served with barbecue sauce.

Texas Ribs- Messy yet delicious ribs served with fries and an assortment of vegetables.

Homesteader Chicken Breasts- Chicken Breasts served witha baked potato and corn.

=Lil' Younglin's Menu=

Cowboy Dan's chicken Fingers & Fries
Cowgirl Jessie's Macaroni and Cheese
Buffallo Benny's Burger

Here at the wild wild Westerant, you will have a rootin' and a tootin' time enjoying a delicious meal and world-class show of the grand ol' West!

And dont worry about the killer because we wont be investigating a killing well not all the time but you might want to keep mum about your case just in case somebody with authority reads this thread so lets keep a tight lid on it! Dont worry I wont tell! Unless you are beating me in the finals and I "might" tell someone so I win by default! ;)

***Granny's Cook House***

This would be at Six Flags Over Georgia in the Buggs Bunny's World section.

This would be the park's first sit down restaurant with servers. The quality would be much higher than the rest of the park's food offerings.

The entry area (and waiting area) is themed to Granny's living room with a couch, armchairs, TV, and more. The TV would play loony toon cartoons. On the wall portraits of every loony toon character(yeah, a whole lot) would be displayed. All throughout the room little designs, mini pictures, and other small details would have something to do with some loony toon character.

The eating area would be very large(seating for about 120). The two types of seating places would be tables with checkered table cloths(and loony toon characters on them too of course) and plenty of booths. In the center of the room would be Tweety(interactive AA) hanging in a large cage. A lot of the time he would be asleep and about once every ten or 15 minutes he will awake and talk with everyone. Every 30 minutes, while Tweety is talking with someone, Sylvester would sneak inside. He will hide (easily in everyone's sight) behind tables ,people , and booths to get closer the Tweety. Just as Sylvester is a couple of feet from Tweety, Tweety will see him and call for Granny. Granny will race out with an apron from the kitchen and chase Sylvester all over the room for all so see and finally chase him out. She will then say hello to all and go back to "cooking" (just backstage).

Here is a sample menu:
Adults:
-Burger+side-$10
-Pizza+side-$11
-Pasta+side-$9
-Salad+side-$8
Kids(all includes fries):
-mini burger-$8
-mini pizza-$9
-mini pasta-$8
-hot dog-$6
All meals include an appetizer of bread or carrots
Dessert:
-Brownies-$5
-Carrot Cake-$7
-Cookies-$4
-Ice Cream-$5
--Kids-$4

Feedback would be great!

This is getting absolutely outrageous! I'm now infuriated. As I've stated before, I devote my own time to run this type of game, and I consider there to be very few excuses why people can't post on time as I give you a WEEK's notice of the full challenge! You then have 5 days to post, and you could be designing your idea in the days the challenge thread isn't posted.

Jorge, you have submitted a post on the blog flume, but can't even get back to me in an email or short message??? And Adam, you said you would be posting today, and no post yet. EDIT: Thank you for posting Adam. Sorry for my outburst, I know you still had time to post. You both have till the end of tonight to post. Considering it is already 10 o clock ET, and 6 o clock PT, that does not give you much time at all. I find this to be extremely disrespectful of you guys towards me. If you guys can't post on time or even send me a message telling me of your late post DONT signup! We've already had another dropout this round, and in an effort to avoide eliminating further challenges, there will be noone fired again this week. That said, we still may have to get rid of two depending on the possible posts of our last two contestants. I'm strongly considering to avoid even having the next season which was planned for January.

Magma Grill Logo
Location: Congo, Kings Dominion

This sit-down restaurant will be located within the volcano that also houses the “Volcano: The Blast Coaster” roller coaster.

Volcano Exterior
The Volcano at Kings Dominion

Entry: Guests first pass by a booth where they check-in. Reservations can be made before hand and are highly recommended. Once it is ensured that a table is available, guests are allowed to make their way along a gently sloping path on the side of the volcano. The path leads to a tunnel where an elevator awaits. This is not a modern elevator, but instead one that shudders and creaks as it slowly descends to the heart of the mighty mountain. The elevator has grated walls and a solid floor and ceiling. You can see the rock walls passing by you as you go lower and lower.

Entrance: The elevator doors open and you find yourself in a cavernous room. Ahead of you is a large pool of magma. The path leads to a bridge that crosses the pool. The “Volcano: The Blast Coaster” passes beneath the bridge before rocketing straight up into the ceiling and out of view. Once passing of the bridge, guests are greeted a host or hostess who shows them to their table. The tables appear to be carved out of the same rock that surrounds them.

Menu Items:
Appetizers:
Fiery Finger Foods: An appetizer platter that has jalapeños stuffed with beef, chicken, and pork. ($7.99)
Picante Potatoes: Potato skins with cheese and various spices to give these classic appetizers a unique kick ($8.50)
Main Dishes:
Carne Adobada: A medley of meats sauteed with various vegetables like onions, pepers, saqush, zucchini, and tomato. ($21.99)

Gamberi Piccante: An Italian dish that has shrimp and pasta cooked with delectable spices. ($19.99)

Dessert:

Volcano Sundae: Chocolate Ice cream in the shape of a volcano covered with cookie crumbles and chocolate fudge. Cherry sherbet fills the center and cherry sauce runs down the sides. A ring of whipped cream surrounds the base of this explosive dessert. ($9.99)

Exit: To exit the Magma Grill, guests follow a path through the rock to an opening between Avalanche and the entrance of Volcano. No elevator is used to exit. The tunnel is lit by lamps that hang from the ceiling and guests can see the electric wire that connects each of them.

Now its time for my review:

Nathan: You did a great job. I really think you did well be taking a restaurant from Grease, one of my favorite movies, and putting it into a theme park. Great job and one of my favorites.

Andy: You as well did a great job this week. The theme was perfect and I agree with you that this restaurant should become real. The only thing off were the prices. One of my favorites.

Jeff Moon: I thought it was a really cool idea for a roller coaster themed restaurant. Nice work.

Anthony: I liked the Wisconsin and Illinois country fair theme and I think it would be a unique experience to have this as a table service. It kind of reminded me of 50's prime time a bit.

James: I really really enjoyed your restaurant making it my favorite of the week. I'm sure anyone would love to dine in a restaurant atop a roller coaster. Nice addition with the taffy.

Dan: I liked the original theme and the return of the mystery dining, but you weren't supposed to use characters. Actually, I think your restaurant worked better without the characters!

Nick: I did like it, but sounded like a played out theme for a restaurant. It was a good description, nevertheless.

David: I thought the use of aa's was good, but I think you could have expanded on your menu.

Adam: I really think you did a great job this week. Excentuating the theme of the volcano in the food was very well done. One of my favorites.
