Favorite Time of the Year

When is the weather and crowd level combination just right for your liking?

What's your favorite month to visit the theme parks and why? And of course, for what park as the seasons are all different!

September and October are by far my favorite so far. The temperature is mild during the day, cool at night, and the kiddies are back in school. Plus, if you catch it just right you can get in a night of HHN or MNSSHP! 10minute wait for FJ? I think so.

I'm with you Terri, When we come down to Orlando it's always the end of September and October. Not only is that an easy time of year for me to get two weeks off work but it also is the time of year everything we love is happening (Food and Wine, HHN, Ect) and the crowds are manageable.
Although we have been pondering an End of January and February trip. While cool it's nothing near as bad as being tail deep in snow and the benefit being next to No One is at the parks!

I absolutely love going to Orlando in December and January. However, it is a bit funny when you see people with gloves, scarves, and jackets on; especially when we are out in shorts. FYI, we would be currently experiencing 10 degree weather with multiple feet of snow.

April is another decent time to go.

We usually go to Florida mothers day week in May… Around the 7th of May of so…. Parks are not too busy and it is always a great time… This year we got to see Fantasmic…

We also went once in October and it was great time.

Tim, I am one of those people with pea coat, scarves, gloves, and layers below on. I am born and raised in South Georgia and below. It's cold when the high is below 70 and the low is below 60!

I'm going mid-December this year for the per time... at least that I will be able to remember. (Went christmas when I was like 6)

I completely agree with you, Terri. September-October is without a doubt my favorite time of the year to go. The weather is just right. The crowds are manageable. Most attractions are still open. Plus, Halloween Horror Nights and Howl-O-Scream are like whole new theme parks in-and-of themselves that you can only see during this period. I don't go at any other time anymore.

I found that more people seem to be going in that Sept - Oct time frame. Last year, I took a trip the first week of December. It was awesome. The highs were in the 70's and the wait times were minimal. This is especially cool if you're from the midwest like I am, because as Tim said, it's about 60 degrees warmer in Orlando in December than it is in Minnesota!

My favorite time to go to Orlando is between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The crowds are at a minimum and the temperature aren't to hot.

Hi,

I went to Orlando twice in 2007 and 2008 always at the same time : end of February / beginning of March.
Being French, it was the perfect season : it was winter holiday at home and there were absolutely no crowds in Florida even if it was President's Week.
The weather is fine, not too hot but hot enough to go in a water park.

I plan to go back in 2012, at the same period of the year.

February is my favorite time to go. No lines, nice weather, and it's right around 3 different birthdays in my family. Perfect time to take a break from work and school and go on a vacation

October is simply the best! Halloween adds so much extra!

I also like going to theme parks in February as the lines are next to nill
