Ever Been Reigned In By The Rain
Bad pun admittedly but have you ever been unable to get off or leave a ride because of bad weather ?

We once came off the excellent ( and much missed ) Back to the Future Ride at Universal Orlando to be greeted by a downpour of Biblical proportions. They kept the line entering onto the ride going which just swelled the crowds who didn't want to leave and get soaked.
Everyone was huddled at the exit and up the stairs which aren't all covered. Some did have plastic rainwear but others were brave enough to simply make a dash for it but , as you know, there's not much cover nearby there to aim for so we hope they made it ! Who knows if they ever did.
After about 45 minutes it eased just enough for us to take our chances but the crowd had swelled so much by then we really had to make our move or be squeezed into the open by those behind us whatever the weather was doing.
So has the weather ever forced you to wait after ride or even to actually stay on a ride ?
And is BTTF and now The Simpsons the only ride that doesn't exit into a shop ??
Mission Space exit... at least there's stuff to look at and do.
NYE 2004 at EPCOT....not fun!
Mission Space has a gift shop after the hands-on activities. Of course, The Simpsons Ride does have that one line stating that "all rides must end in the gift shop". As for getting stuck on a ride due to rain, it has never happened to me. However, last time I rode Montu, it started raining during the ride (which added some extra thrill), but it kept going.
Also, Ellen's Energy Adventure has the line "what is rain?" (as Bill Nye is teaching DeGeneres about energy to win on Jeopardy). As soon as I got off the ride, guess what? It was raining!
My wife and I went on The Mummy at USF last year and it was just pouring rain when we got off the ride. We made it over to the arcade that is connected to The Mummy and waited for about 20 mins. We finally got tired of waiting and bought an over price umbrella and made our way across the street to Finnegans because if was close to lunch time. We had never eaten there before but we ended up loving the food. By the time we left there it had stopped raining.
We also went to Magic Kingdom last year and as we were getting off the monorail at the gate it started pouring rain. Well since we got wet right away we just went ahead and walked to space mountain in the rain. Btw Space Mountain is freezing inside when you are soaking wet. When we got off the ride we still had to wait about 30 mins for it to stop raining before we went to anything else.

This past trip to Disney my girlfriend and I had just got off our bus from All star sport to MK and once we got out from under the cover of the resort bus stop there it began to pour on us right before we were to go into the park for our breakfast at Crystal Palace. It was so bad we had to buy ponchos just to get to the resturant. Once we got there it stopped raining and after breakfast took a nice stroll over to space mountain where it began to rain again. turned out though that the rest of the day was a beautiful day and we spent it with my brother and his fiance and my dad in hollywood studios...all in all great day....thats is the day we remember th most vividly and we agree that was the best day we had during our whole trip

Never got stuck on a ride during rain, but I have to recommend not riding 1 ride when it is rainy. If it is raining, please, for the sake for your ribs, do not ride Big Thunder Mountain. Plastic bench seating when the seat is wet and there is no one next to you leads to a lot of sliding, and a painful, painful experience.
Gather around friends, I've got a story about this one!
The first year Montu was opened at Busch Gardens Africa I was working for Seaworld Orlando as my first job. A bunch of us had a few days off work and all us little "Games" people got the bright idea to go down and ride this new thing together. We've all ridden it before but it simply had to be more fun with 15 friends!
It was a rather nasty, cloudy day but we're Floridians! We work outside, we can deal!
Oh yes, we had the stupid.
So we wait, we got on and off we go! Crawling to the top of the lift hill, we look up and all sweet hell in the form of Noah's flooding rain breaks loose upon us. Just as we crest and begin our downward decent into drowning.
60MPH Coaster in a torrential downpour is NOT fun and it hurts!
