What band would you like to see incorporated into roller coaster?

What's the best to play on a music roller coster?

The Beatles :D Also AC/DC, Metallica, and Hans Zimmer. Ok, that last one isn't a band but his music makes everything epic!

I want my Led Zeppelin coaster back!

From Mike Gallagher
Posted November 11, 2011 at 7:53 PM
I'm with Steve. On my visit to the late, lamented Hard Rock Park, I got exactly one dozen rides on Led Zep. I thought it was..of all the music themed/soundtracked coasters I've been on..the one that did the best job of integrating music synced to a better than average ride. Hell, I never even liked the band (I was a punk rock guy) until I heard Whole Lotta Love in that setting. At the same park, Life In The Fast Lane also did a mighty fine job...for a mine train, anyway. And Nights In White Satin? Pure bliss.

Man, I miss HRP :(

Banana Splits? Now that's a blast from the past. Man those Saturday mornings in the 70s were awesome.

I guess I could go for the Banana Splits.....as long as the ride shows them getting chased around by animatronic hippos. ;)

Not really a band but, I would like to see a Michael Jackson ride. It could have a few Jackson 5 Songs.

From steve lee

Queen. Just pick any song in their discography and I'll be happy (though I'd prefer if they went with something a little less known - a "March of the Black Queen" ride would be brilliant).

From Mike Gallagher

It's funny...even though The Hurler coasters at KD and Carowinds are no longer themed to Wayne's World, I can't get Bohemian Rhapsody out of my head when I ride them. Maybe it helps me tune out the pain...

From Manny Rodriguez

Shah what a babe lol I love that movie how was the hurler when it was waynes world

From steve lee

The ride itself was exactly the same (only it was newer and not nearly as brutal as it is now). The queues had Wayne and Garth doing their schtick on monitors (with clips from the film sprinkled in).

The loading station was set up like a studio soundstage, though I have a lot of memories of some creepy Kewpie dolls being around as well. No clue how that figures in with the plot of either film as I haven't seen them in years.

Also worth noting is that Carowinds had a Stan Mikita's themed eatery as well. I assume King's Dominion had it as well, but I didn't visit KD at that time so I can't be 100 percent sure.

From Mike Gallagher
Posted November 12, 2011 at 7:00 PM
I don't think KD had Mikita's but I could be wrong..that happens sometimes :)

I vaguely remember dolls, but there was definitely a video of Wayne and Garth in the queue and in the station. There was also a Mirthmobile on the load platform!! Love it!

Definitely agree with CCR, AC/DC, Jackson 5, and the Beatles!

I'd like a few songs of Deadmau5, Daft Punk, Caravan Palace, The Ramones, The Clash, and even though it's not a band, the Super Mario World music!

From Andy Milito

From Mike Gallagher

Yeah, Grant, I always thought Bat Out Of Hell would lend itself really well to a ride, with its fantastic imagery and visuals. If a park wants to build one, I'll even give them my autographed copy of the original LP to display in the queue. I mean that. No one's getting my autographed Ramones record sleeve, though...

I'd like to see Aerosmith's Rock n Roller Coaster re-themed to The Rolling Stones. I can only take so much Steven Tyler, and I think the Keith Richards/PoTC connection makes the Stones a more sensible choice.

How about this-
From the people who brought you "it's a small world" and other bad theme park music brings you the greatest song on the face of the earth-"it's a small world, baby" by Justin Bieber
This would be the single worst song ever. It would kill more people than Mission:Space. It would infect a new type of people with Bieber Fever.

From Andy Milito
Posted November 18, 2011 at 5:44 PM
Matt said: It would kill more people than Mission:Space.

That quote is terrible, yet hilarious :D

But oh my goodness, that would be terrible. The only thing that MIGHT be worse would be High School Musical: The Ride. *shudders*

Matt...... LMAO.....

In the spirit of the nonsense that I usually post. My vote is for the late 1970's / early 80's Puerto Rican heartthrob boy band... Menudo. Then again, a coaster based on the 1985 sensation "The Jets" would be just as obnoxious.

From Mike Gallagher

How about the world first ever triple dueling roller coaster
Track 1-Rebbecca Black-choose from god-awful songs like Friday
Track 2-High School Musical-Fabulously suicide-inducing songs such as All for one, Get'cha head in the game, Bop to the top, and We're all in this together
Track 3-Justin Bieber- The worst thing since sliced bread(better get your Bieber Fever shots)
The ride would be named... Crazy Coaster(it makes you go crazy)

From Matt Babiak
Posted November 19, 2011 at 5:53 AM
Or the killercoaster. I would be shocked if only twice as many people die on this roller coaster than Mission:Space(although, I hear that the Bieber Fever vaccine is working these days).
By the way, I reserve all rights to this in any TPA or any TPA like contest.
