World of Color or Fantasmic?Disneyland: If I had to choose, which one would be a better choice to see in Anaheim?

I have seen the Disney Hollywood Studios version of Fantasmic. Posted April 3, 2012 at 10:53 AM

While the Anaheim version of Fantasmic is better than the Florida version, and well worth seeing even if you've seen the one at Disney World, if you had time for only one night-time show at the Disneyland Resort, I'd opt for World of Color in your case. Although both are wonderful shows (and you really should see both if at all possible), my vote goes to World of Color. Fantasmic is a great story with awesome effects, but moments in World of Color made me cry. There is something spectacular about the water, colors, and scenes chosen that touches you. And since there isn't really a story (more of a montage), anyone of any age can enjoy it at their own level. In my opinion, WoC alone is worth the upgrade to a park hopper (even if the rest of the park leaves something to be desired until the redo is completed). Posted April 3, 2012 at 12:06 PM

I'd say world of color and I'm a DCA fan....there are times when I (gulp) prefer it to...... Posted April 3, 2012 at 2:02 PM

Are you going to be there for only one night? Otherwise, I would see both (in fact, with the right timing, and park hopper tickets, you might be able to see both in one night). The Disneyland version of Fantasmic! is considerably better than the one at DHS.Posted April 3, 2012 at 6:14 PM

*I* would choose Fantasmic. However, I'm a Fantasmic fanatic. I could go on for pages on why WoC has such potential but hasn't fixed its flaws yet. But since you've seen the FL Fan, as much as it pains me to say it's close enough [which it's not!] I say go see WoC. But if there's ANY way you can see both, DO IT.Posted April 3, 2012 at 7:39 PM

World of Color! I saw both last September and while I really like Fantasmic (Florida better because you can sit) I had chills watching World of Color -- an The show features more recent films -- the Pirates part was great... Don't miss it!Posted April 3, 2012 at 8:38 PM

Yeah, OK. I'll be the odd one out. I'd say definately Fantasmic if - and that's a BIG if - you only get to see one. Fantasmic is one of my favorite things to do in either park.Posted April 3, 2012 at 9:27 PM
