My family always stops at the same places year after year on our same routiene, and most of it involves junk food (Burgers, hot dogs, etc ) that disney has decided to take out.... where are some good alternatives to eat?

So you’re asking for healthy options in Disney? They do a great job of having healthy options, even though it’s not easy to choose them when you have all the junk food around.

MK:
Table Service: Plaza Restaurant (Chicken Strawberry Salad, Turkey Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Sandwich)
Counter Service: Cosmic Rays (Half Rotisserie Chicken)

Epcot:
Table Service: Tokyo Dining (Sushi!)
Counter Service: Sunshine Seasons (Oak Grilled Sustainable Fish, Rotisserie Pork Chop)

AK
Table Service: Yak & Yeti (Seared Miso Salmon)
Counter Service: Flame Tree BBQ (Smoked Turkey Breast Sandwich)

DHS
Table Service: Brown Derby (Famous Cobb Salad)
Counter Service: Turkey Leg (Carb free!)

Basically every restaurant in WDW has healthy options, but you’re on vacation so enjoy what you want!

My family was never into the "big junk food" groups (hamburgers, hot dogs, etc) so here is the Murphy family's faves:

Magic Kingdom

Columbia Harbour House (ok, a bit of junk food, but NE Clam Chowder is good)

Newly named Adventureland Taco Stop (used to be Pireta e Pertico)

EPCOT:

Nine Dragons (China)
Sunshine Food Fare (the Land)
Biergarden (Germany)
Tepennaki (Japan)
Via Napoli (pizza thats an art!)
Tangerine Cafe (Morocco)

Animal Kingdom:
Yak and Yeti
Flame Tree BBQ (best counter service I think in the parks!)

I've not heard anything about this (though I may have just not been paying attention). What's this about them getting rid of burgers and hot dogs?

They did not get rid of any food. Disney said they will not have junk food advertised on their TV stations starting in 3 years. Some of these rumors are wonderful examples of "telephone" where the real message totally disappears in a short while.

Are you talking about in the parks only or at Downtown Disney as well? If DD is included, my wife and I love Earl of Sandwich. Can't say that it's much healthier than burgers, hot dogs or pizza. However, we ate there almost every night except for a romantic dinner at Jiko. My favorite sandwich is the Full Montague.
