Getting a job with Universal Florida!Universal Orlando: Tips on getting a job with Universal Orlando (or other themeparks)
From j minnee
Recently, I was interviewed and hired by Universal Orlando. I just wanted to share some tips to gaining enployment at UO as I was just a few of many applicants that was interviewed that day to make it to the final process. First, and most important....SMILE!!!!! Robert's post on his interview at WDW is a great example of what to do! Second, dress to impress! The majority of those interviewed on the same day as me were wearing casual clothing! Jeans and t-shirts are great for hot days, but not so much for an interview. Even buisness casual (Polo shirts, slacks, ect.) is much better for the hiring process! Full dress clothing is best (my normal attire anyway), but if you do not have it, do what you can! Next, be pleasant! Smiling is important, but must be paired with a sunny disposition! Skills such as CPR, alternate languagues to english (ASL included)increase your chances of ganing enployment with the company! Any special skills you might have or accomplishments should also be brought up! If you were a Boyscout, Girlscout, if you have worked with any community service program (Habitat for Humanity, local food banks ect.) Let them know on your application and/or resume!Posted June 10, 2012 at 10:49 AM UO is very community conscious, these are things that will work in your favor. If possible also, have open availability! The more open, the better your chances are! I hope this helps some of you with getting a job at UO, or any other themepark. If it does, please let me know. I love success stories!

Yes, please dress nicely and smile. Tuck in your shirt. Don't wear sneakers. And you may be asked what job you want, so if you're able to get into the park on a day pass, pay attention to the uniforms and shoes. Depending on the job, you may have to wear white, black, or brown footwear.Posted June 14, 2012 at 9:56 PM Universal is all about FUN. So have fun and be sociable at your interview.
