Walt Disney World: Need some advice on the level of business expected for this week.

Hello everyone! I was curious if anyone could offer me any prediction/advice on the level of business that I can expect for this trip - December 5-12. I am planning on taking my mom during this week as a kind of pick me up since she recently lost her sister, my aunt. When I was growing up, we would consistently go during these few weeks because they were ALWAYS slow!! The opening of Fantasyland has got me a little bit worried though. Should I expect business in ALL the parks to be raised or would it just be the Magic Kingdom? Also, when we go to the Magic Kingdom, do you expect everyone to be mainly focused on the Fantasyland side of things leaving the rest of the park slower?

I know when we went to the Universal resort and Harry Potter had just opened, it was the main focus of everyone at the time. The actual Universal park was a ghost town and everyone was at Islands of Adventure. In addition, the days we went to IOA, the lines were slow with the exception of anything in Potter-land.

Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read and help. Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Don't worry, TLM is a high capacity ride and offers FP, and Be Our Guest shouldn't be too much of a hassle. Just watch out for Test Track though. It will be open and will be the main focus of alot of people

A Mouse in a tux told me that (based on last week's traffic) EPCOT crowds have been fairly light at opening on Monday and Tuesday.

Thank you for your insider info! ;-) I'm hoping you're right! My thinking is that it's basically a new face for Test Track as opposed to a new ride!
