Always Check Your Hotel Receipts!
Key charge plan at Universal hotels might need a tune-up!

We ate at the Monster Cafe recently and bought the meal plan for seven people.
However the room key charge was not working (downtime).
So after two tries; I just gave my credit card to be swiped.
Quess what? I was charged 3 times for the same meal plan totals. With receipts, the Royal Pacific fixed the problem; however, had I not double checked noone would have been the wiser.
Guest relations was useless and I had to 'fix' the problem at the hotel.
This required vacation time and receipts of all three charges. (So Save those receipts).
This happened again at Island of Adventures at another gift store...key swipe ....nothing...but this time the vendor cancelled the transaction.
My advice would be just to use your credit card or pay cash until they work out the bugs in the key charge system.
And always check your charges the night before you leave.
