Transformers Will Have ExpressUniversal Orlando: What do you think of this?
From Andrew DoughertyA picture of the rides entrance sign was posted today. Under that sign was a sign for the express line leading me to believe Transformers will have express.

From Dominick DAs long as they let standby in I'll be fine. If not, there's always single rider.

From Shannon NelsonThat is great news, as much as it costs to stay on-site they should. I wish they would stop selling fast pass and make it solely a perk for on-site hotel guests. That way the fast pass line wouldn't get backed up during busy times, and make it a bigger advantage for staying at the hotels.

From chris conabeyond shocked but do like it always stay on site when visiting universal

From N BI have noticed the ratio of people I come across in the Express lines are almost all hotel guests compared to the paper versions. The purchase Express is only good for one ride per attraction, so they cannot ride repeatedly like on-site guests.

I figured Transformers would have Express out of the gate. Now FJ (and the Flyers) are the only two that don't have it. Gringotts will will take years before Express is added, I'm sure.
From Shannon NelsonI misspoke earlier. I always go to universal during non-peak times. This July will be my first visit during busy season during my birthday. How long is the wait in fast-pass line during summer for the most popular rides. And to NB's point, are the majority in the fast pass line hotel guests? Does going during busy times dilute the value of staying on-site because of people purchasing express?

From Shannon NelsonAnd if Transformers is going to have fast-pass right away, what took so long for rip ride rocket to get it, which is misplaced in the studios, its the only ride without movie theming.

From Duncan Henny@shannon i totally agree it's a good coaster but it bugs me that it doesn't fit the studios theme

From N BI never thought about RRR not fitting the theme since they incorporated "Hollywood" into the name. I was just glad to see another coaster added to a park that only had one to begin with, and a kid's ride at that.

I think the backlash of RRR not having Express for so long (one of the most requested things on the Universal FB page) forced them to give Transformers the perk from opening day. Sounds good to me, we will be there for a week come late July. It will be interested to see if Spidey remains my favorite of the two similar rides.
My wife will more than likely vote Transformers, however. I am betting Express waits will be 15-20 minutes for the first couple peak seasons. Spidey is never more than 5 minuyes vie Express and usually a walk-on in the morning (thanks to HP).
From Shannon Nelson@NB. That's my only complaint about Transformers, That it is too similar to Spiderman. With HP2 opening in 2014, UOR needed an enthusiasm filler to get people excited about this summer. But at UH it's only one park, there is no Spiderman. Spiderman is one of the best rides at the whole resort. And I know Transformers will be great, but should executives have thought about maybe a slightly different ride that's not quite as similar?

From James RaoThe best perk in the theme park world (Universal Express for Onsite Hotel Guests) just keeps getting better. However, this move plants one more knife in the back of the upcoming Cabana Bay Beach Resort. Why would anyone stay there when you can get Express at the Royal Pacific for about $50 more? Universal is going to have to add an Express Option to Cabana Bay, imho, or it is going to be DOA.

From Bryce McGibenyHollywood Rip, Ride, RockIt is based around producing a music video, and is placed in Production Central. It's a weak theme, but I suppose it works.

As for Transformers having Express, I don't think it's that bad. And like Dominick said, there's always single rider.
