Fast Pass for new Test Track?

Walt Disney World: should I get a fast pass for the new Test Track or bite the bullet and wait in line for over an hour?

I am going to Epcot for New Years Eve and am trying to avoid the rides this year in favor of spending as much time as possible in the World Showcase.

However, I do want to see the new additions to Test Track. My question is, should I get a fast pass or bite the bullet and wait in line for over an hour? I'm reading that most of the additions are before and after the ride and I don't want a fast pass to ruin the experience.

Get a Fastpass, then go over to the post show and design your car there. When your FP is ready you can use that design instead of one of the premade ones.

Get the fastpass. Even in its old form, it was always a good idea to get a FP
